The team is going on a European tour next month. No wonder none of them was in an Collegiate national team roster this summer

I think it was the Schwan, Scambray, Jones, Tanner era Edit: yup circa 2017 They are going France, Italy and Slovenia! What an amazing opportunity

Did Lauren Sanders make the 2017 trip?
Edit: she did.

Current NCAA rules now allow incoming freshmen to go on the trip.

The tentative Fall 2022 Pac-12 schedule has the Dawgs playing UCLA and USC once each. At UCLA and home for USC. Subject to change of course. Go Huskies! Looks like Dani Cole was practicing, so that answers that question.

Yeah, six years ago the UW played USC/UCLA only once each, and it was at USC, home v. UCLA. (Normally we would look back five years, but the 2020-2021 COVID season was an interruption.) So they are due to once again play the LA teams only one time each, and this time it should be at UCLA and home v. USC.

Was anyone at the Oregon/OSU scrimmage? I wonder how Wilmes did, looks like she got playing time

Was anyone at the Oregon/OSU scrimmage? I wonder how Wilmes did, looks like she got playing time I was at the OSU/UW game, but unfortunately couldn’t stay for the Oregon/UW one. If I’m remembering correctly, in the first set Hoffman played all around, Crenshaw was back row for Endsley who hit on the left side and Bush was playing at opposite with Houghton as her DS. Shannon wasn’t hitting her best and wracked up a few errors. Second and third sets, Audra and Claire were OH’s. Wilson was setting in the last set and although she struggled with location, she definitely has potential and played surprisingly physical at the net. Also, I thought Endsley and Bush both looked great offensively throughout the match. Audra, the hometown hero, has tremendous potential as well. She was able to hit some impressive angles for being an underclass man and her swing is just so quick. All of this is to be taken with a grain of salt as they were playing against an unimpressive Oregon State team. Nonetheless, UW won 3-0.

Stayed for both spring games today. WA played well, especially in serving. To be fair, neither the Beavs (Tkachenko, McDonald) nor Ducks (Nuneviller, Murphy) had key starters, but WA still was able to get all players involved and play well. Summary of what I observed:
Rd 1 vs OSU:
25-20. Bays libero. Hoffman, Crenshaw, Endsley OH. Summers, Grote MB. Opp Bush/Houghton DS.
25-17. Bays libero. Wilmes, Crenshaw OH. Summers, Grote MB. Endsley OPP. Mikkelsen ds for Endsley. Maeve serve for Grote. Wilmes filled in very well I thought.
25-15 Bays libero. Wilmes, Crenshaw OH. Summers, Grote MB. Bush OPP. Meave ds for Bush. Houghton ds for crenshaw. Wilson setter. Wilson set well to MB and OPP.
Rd 2 vs Ducks:
25-18. Bays libero. Hoffman, Endsley OH. Summers, Grote MB. Crenshaw ds for Endsley. Opp Bush/Houghton ds. Good serving.
25-23. Bays libero. OH Hoffman, Endsley/Houghton DS. Summers, Grote MB, Bush OPP/Mikkelsen DS.
25-21 Bays libero. OH Hoffman, Bush/Crenshaw DS. Summers, Grote MB. Endsley OPP/Mikkelsen ds. Houghton serve for Summers. Wilson setter. Wilmes briefly at the end.

Looks like it’ll be a fun Crenshaw and Endsley battle for OH2. Also nice to see Summers get all these reps. How was our blocking?
Thanks for the updates!

Looks like it’ll be a fun Crenshaw and Ends key battle for OH2. Also nice to see Summers get all these reps. How was our blocking? Thanks for the updates! No problem. Yeah, I can see both Crenshaw and Endsley getting playing time at OH, depending on how they are doing. Summers did well. Would like to see her hit harder with more authority. Blocking was pretty good. Lots of block touches. Bays picked up everything that wasn't blocked, and the other back up DSs held their own when played. Once Hoffman graduates, Wilmes will be all around, and she has a good serve receive and is comfortable at OH, so she looks ready when it is her time, or if someone gets an unfortunate injury (knock on wood though).
