I agree Bush's serve looked promising the few times we got to see it. But if you keep her in for serving, you still live with her back row defense, if only for one rotation. Unless her serve is really, really good, and unless she can keep it in consistently, I doubt it's worth it. Agreed that's a liability but I could see Cook entertaining it as shown by him having Endsley come in and serve and play defense before for a rotation (I don't know if it was due to injury). It would be good for Bush's long term growth to serve and also play a bit of back row defense. Actually, half a rotation. Bogomolova's backrow defense wasn't exactly stellar.

Washington's last week of non-conference will be played against Montana State, North Texas, and Boise State. Tournament is at Montana State. Hopefully they have some bigger names lined up the other weeks.

Washington has regularly played Boise State as long as I can remember. Not quite every year, but almost every year. Pretty obviously this tournament was set up and hosted by Boise State, who pretty obviously selected the participants. Should Washington keep playing Boise State? Should they play local Northwest teams? Well, for RPI purposes, no, they should not. For recruiting purposes? Maybe they should. IMO, the real problem here is the absolutely broken way that tournament selection and seeding is done, not the idea that Washington should play a few teams in the Northwest every year.

I saw the specific info on the Ducks facebook story. Be nice if Washington posted some info about it, but not sure they will, or maybe not till day before.

anyone else have more insight on our non conf schedule? I wish. Washington and most PAC-12 teams are so slow to put out their schedules!

Washington's last week of non-conference will be played against Montana State, North Texas, and Boise State. Tournament is at Montana State. Hopefully they have some bigger names lined up the other weeks. The final weekend of the non-conf schedule has been problematic for UW - the unpredictability of the scheduling of the conference opener, making long trips to play major opponents chancy. McLaughlin canceled a trip to Penn State after the Pac-12 scheduled UW's conference opener on the following Tuesday. Last year their conference opener was scheduled on the following Wednesday. Similarly, top opponents are less likely to want to fly all the way to Seattle any weekend of their non-conf, when they can find as good of, or better, RPI match-ups closer to home.
