I expect Krause & Batenhorst to make a Madi-Kubik-like jump in production. Nope not, Kubik was awful her second year! I get your point however and agree they’ll be greatly improved. ...from last year to this year.

So is Kelly Hunter looking to stay in coaching? I know Cook has said he likes ex-players to go elsewhere for a time before looking at bringing them back to NE as an assistant. Speaking of ex-players who want to go into coaching...Jordan Larson might be available. (Yeah I realize she's probably got the resume to get a head coaching gig straight out of the gate, but an assistant for one or two years would allow her to build Athletes Unlimited and transition into full time coaching down the road)

I always thought Jordan would be an unpaid assistant to her husband at Pepperdine once she was done playing if she wanted to get into coaching.

No interest in convincing or debating anyone on the subject, but to question Tyler’s loyalty is downright …. Fortunately Cook doesn’t think that way.

Returning to your alma mater to be a HC is understandable but tough to leave Lincoln after being national runner up.

No interest in convincing or debating anyone on the subject, but to question Tyler’s loyalty is downright …. Fortunately Cook doesn’t think that way. Oh Gees...You people are the ones that suggested he was Johns heir apparent when the begged him to rejoin the staff. He was named Associate Head Coach, a honor that no other,'assistant,' had held before. Then you people are chastising people for scratching their heads about the decision. I didn't know Tyler had such a rabid fan club for crying out loud. If you are true Husker fans, we should be particular on a future coach. We have had the rare privelege of two greats in a row that have carried this storied program to heights most teams dream of. Yet you are again, 'chastising,' those who are concerned about that future choice down the road and expect them to love Husker Nation and have loyalty? I was a big fan of Tylers. He knows his stuff but he has wanderlust in my opinion and is always looking for a new challenge. If that is what trips his trigger, great, but I would not consider him a viable candidate for the position down the road because of that inconsistency. Husker fans should care and be particular shouldn't they? Gees. I want someone, like John Cook who understands just how important this program is to the State and beyond, and appreciates the job enough to be the next generation of Husker Volleyball. That is not too much to ask of the future person that gets the keys to this Ferrari.

Okay, I think many are wondering what Nicklin may do this coming year. Any chance she might consider staying on as a volunteer assistant coach? Could she do that and also have a roster spot to allow her to play if Kennedi were the starter and had an injury? Crazy thoughts I know, but that's the way my mind rolls!

I think who decides to show up for the beach season might be an important tell. If Caffey/Nicklin stick around and play the spring beach season, that will be a good sign they are planning to stay on...

i'm somehow under the impression that Caffey's done, while Nicklin and Callie haven't made their intentions known.

Nebraska fans at the final four and especially the championship match, how would you break down the ratios of fans from Nebraska, Wisconsin and just volleyball fans? The curious want to know.

My bigger concern has been someone bringing a big offer to Jalen. If the Huskers are in the Final Four next year, some AD is going to come after him for a head coaching job. Having Tyler's salary to work with gives Cook some extra firepower. Word on the street in Columbus are people will be coming after jaylen. Wonder what he will do….. What jobs???
