Hi everyone! I just upgraded my tickets for the National Semifinal, so I now have 2 tickets that I am selling. I bought them on verified resale for $187/ea, but I am only asking for $120/ea. They are Section 215 Row G. Let me know if you are interested!

The silver lining is that I now get to focus on Brazil in the World Cup.

This team never lived up to the press clippings. They never embraced getting to Omaha like passed teams did. What a disappointment! Though the season was a bit of a disappointment; I love this team; they had a lot to of hurdles to get over! Starting with the transfers of two key players; the recoup of a star setter and key injuries toward the season's end; and they still finished 2'nd in the B1G; & made it to the sweet 16! Go Big Red!

Is it too early to fire up the 2023 thread? I now really need something to look forward to.

The biggest disappointment of the year was having a free ball and then an overpass to our 6-5 middle both on match point and not converting on either. Thus the year ends and how it will be remembered. I am sure Evans (poor set on the free ball) and Hord will be replaying those points for ever. It's all history now.
Safe to say we lost every match to teams that will end up above us in the polls, beat every team that ends up below us. Ended the year in a match we played well in and to a good team. An improvement at setter, by the kids we have or new kids, is the priority I am sure in the off season. If that happens and the hitters improve like I expect they will, could use this as a springboard into 2023.

My favorite Nicklin play. She could always fire it up in the playoffs despite frequent criticism. Wish she won one of those two finals.

I felt like the 2023 thread was exactly what the Nebraska fan base needed to move on.
I see now this thread is needed to continue to move through the grieving process in a healthy manner, while not bogging down the new thread with its messiness.
All of us sports fans have been there. I'm just glad it's you guys going through this misery this year rather than me after your team upset mine last season. It's a nice luxury to be able to follow a program that's always going to be in the hunt year after year to some extent, so there's that to be grateful for. And I know the vast majority of you are.

Let's not exaggerate my sympathies, here. More about making an observation. I have a lot of respect for the Nebraska program, and especially the fan base, even if my opinion of John Cook has slightly altered after this past year. Also, there's not exactly an overreaction going on. More like a very normal reaction from a fan base with a gazillion people in it. I'll also point out...no lift calls so far this year. Tournament or otherwise. Actually there was one, but it was an underhanded blatant lift when the ball hit her askance from another player and she was just trying to keep it alive. But I haven't seen the constant b1tching about it, either, so no reason to bring it up. I also don't think Texas wins that match if the call goes the other way. Just wish they'd had the opportunity. The lion's share of my ranting has been in response to people complaining about Eggleston not getting called for it.
