IF it can or does affect the team's prep work then it becomes news, at least within the small world of college VB news. It'll likely blow over just as the similar mess in TX did. (But it's an uncomfortable week or three until it does.) Suspect and hope the most disruptive part is past. I hope it is, too, but these are the kinds of salacious subjects that pop up suddenly and get attention out of nowhere. It's like the Emperor's New Clothes. No one is willing to say anything until someone is willing to say something. And then everyone wants to weigh in. The big ones when it comes to universities are any time a lawsuit gets involved, or when there is some kind of documentable action that's subject to a Freedom of Information Act request. In this case I'd add if someone like the husband or the fiancee were to go public about it in some way. In a lot of communities nobody is going to care what the local assistant volleyball coaches are doing, but in Nebraska? It's just such an odd - but also very human - thing to be dealing with as a head coach. John Cook is certainly not the first person to have to manage this kind of drama on his staff (I'm talking any organization, not just sports related). If anyone can get everyone in the program to focus on the performance on the court, it's going to be him.

LOL fired?? We don't even know if this is true or any of the circumstances surrounding the alleged actions. Now if it is directly impacting the players on a consistent basis or harming them in any way, that's a different story. I'm sure there is a policy in place that outlines specific consequences or action steps in the case of fill in the blank.
If this is alleged actions are true, it technically is a scandal. But it isn't the scandal some of y'all are making it out to be or want it to be (based on the limited information we know) lol.

But there is a soap opera effect to it. People lose their minds sometimes. And then other people exaggerate how many people are losing their minds. One person making outrageous comments suddenly becomes the alleged board narrative when it's being attacked, when it's really just one person. Some of that is going on here. I don't see how it's that big of a deal. But it's not the kind of distraction John Cook was hoping for in the middle of the season when he hired Reyes and Hunter, that's for sure.

The bigger scandal is Hord not getting more/better sets!

The bigger scandal is Hord not getting more/better sets! Nicklin Hames' back needs healing powers, Nebraska needs to go to a 5-1, and Hord needs to be set with accuracy and frequency. And I'm not fooling around with those statements, so to speak.

Anyways, I think even Madi still gets wow'ed by Devaney sometimes. The energy level seemed as high as ever for Saturday's match The Devaney audio crew running the public address system should be commended for a couple of replays in the fifth set with great music lyrics that were quick, timely and at least gave you a smile and maybe a chuckle. The replay on the Knuckles serve for the first point that was ruled out. It brought a green card from Cook thinking the serve landed in. Quickly, the line from a song of my era says “tell me something good.” The second instance replay was a Nebraska point to make it 8-7 Nebraska on a hit ruled out by the front line attacker for OSU. The OSU head coach brought a green card saying a Nebraska touch by I believe Hord at middle. Sorry, for not remembering the names of the female OSU head coach or the attacker for OSU. Plus i am tired and to lazy to look it up, right now. So the lyric line for a older song by a pedestrian band quickly on the loud system says “let it be, let it be, etc”. Clap for the production crew. Agreed. I wish they would utilize more of the dead time between points with as much forethought. The matches at Devaney could have a MUCH higher energy level if they utilized the Husker Vision capabilities with the same passion as is demonstrated at FB and BB games.

I've known a lot of women that really liked sex, but very few with me...NO co-workers...zero...none...
