Anybody else feel like once nicklin is healed we will eventually be going to a 5-1 with her setting all around? I really think cook is set on the 6-2 this year. He’s a defense first minded coach and their blocking is a huge part of their success this year. If Orr was better I think he would run a 5-1 with her. But I don’t think she’s anyway near ready for a 5-1 this season.

The headline should read, "Nebraska Hall of Fame Gains Legitimacy by FINALLY recognizing Christina Houghtelling."
But the story is what the story is.

Maggie and Becca also compliment each other.

Orr is a very solid blocker and would probably provide as much offense and at a higher pct. I still think not having a true M1 who can kill the ball behind the setter is a big contributing reason they’re in the 6’2

On the radio, Lauren was earning her pay. IMO Maybe her best day constantly filling in: "Here's what they're doing" for both teams.

I agree with stanfordvb actually. I do think In transition at least it’s easier to set the middle if you’re front row

Whitney leading the team in points right now with 176.5. Madi Kubik with 169 points.

I agree with stanfordvb actually. I do think In transition at least it’s easier to set the middle if you’re front row The middles hit great today so it clearly didn’t impact their production. I guess I can see the merits of his point, but while it’s more difficult to set the middle when setters on the move, it’s also extremely difficult to defend against it when she is. Having said all of that, unless Orr gets bit by a radioactive spider, or some other miracle occurs, we very well may see Hames back in a 5-1. I feel really bad for Hames who is clearly having confidence/tips issues, but this was painful to watch. It’s a long season and I think this team will do what nearly all Husker teams do, get a lot better.

i’m curious, does anyone have stats on lauensteins aces per set in the time she’s actually been serving? or an ace percentage? seems like she’s been serving really well
