Northwestern fan checking in - thank you Huskers for Megan Miller. Given Nebraska's trouble with setting, how much better would the team be if Nebraska had opted to recruit Alexa Rousseau (2020) over Kennedi Orr (2021)? Of course, hindsight is 20-20, and Orr was an elite-level prospect, but Rousseau looks incredible when healthy and her dynamic playstyle would seemingly fit in seamlessly. I don’t know enough about Rousseau to say she’d be better than Orr. Orr has had an incredibly tough road and I will remain a believer in her. Megan Miller is a gem! Also if you have an update on Noordemeer, Husker fans have been curious of how she’s doing/recovering! No official update from the team, but Noordermeer is already back on the sidelines cheering on the team! No boot/cast seen, though she did seem a bit tender with her movement. She's also semi-featured in Northwestern/B1G's socials recently, so mostly back to normal. Ehman said she suffered a concussion (didn't mention anything else but there could be more hidden). Given the potential severity of the injury, that's an incredibly positive outcome - super happy for her and hope her recovery continues smoothly. Best of luck with the tournament! Shame that Knuckles is out but Nebraska turns it on in December so they can easily make a deep run

The 6-2 provided playing time for 4 hitters. The positive impact this had on team morale will never be known. Also expect all 3 soph hitters to return next year, not sure that would be true if one had limited playing time this year. We fans can debate 5-1 vs 5-2 vs 6-2, but the coaches have a lot more info to make that call. Highly suspect, Coach Cook would prefer to run a 5-1, so he did not choose to run a 6-2 without considering a lot of factors. I think you are correct in saying that Cook prefers the 5-1. On the radio show a couple of weeks ago, he said that he likes the 6-2 but loves the 5-1.

Considering the bond that was formed between Nebraska and Northwestern when Noordermeer went down, I would like to think that TTA has Nebraska in mind for one final year! I know, I know - we don't need another OH!

She'd fill in well with Kubik leaving.

According to a poster here on VT on the Transfer 2023 thread, she has entered the portal. Trying to find info to confirm that though

Trying to find info to confirm that though she is in the portal but is high high academic so I don't see a Nebraska as a landing spot. They weren't even on her short list when being recruited.

I will never forget Megan Miller coming in to serve, Nov 22, 2019 Nebraska up 5-3 in the 5th set versus Minnesota. Once Megan starts serving, Minnesota never got the serve back. 15 - 3 win. (For those interested, Miller takes over at 2:03:57).

She must have taught Charlotte Cronister of Northwestern well, as Northwestern went on a 17-0 run on her serve (18-0 overall) to close out set 2 vs Penn State this year.

Husker faithful never gives up on players, Kenna is still a work in progress. If Cook saw something in her, then I trust that he's correct. Sometimes greatness takes its time.

Was on a club team with Maddison Horn (USC) and the amount of coaches surrounding their courts in club was insane. I heard she turned a lot down based on academics alone.
