I'd just like to know more details for what I'd be paying, (as a displaced gold section season ticket holder-since '98 btw). It appears from the number of seats per row, that they are just putting a seat back on the current collapsible bleachers, and my row (12) is going away for ADA. I'll be curious to see what my options will be. Those rows are so narrow, that I don't want to be in the middle (mobility issues climbing over people, literally). This could have been handled much better, that sort of increase in an inflation plagued market. Should have just increased prices coming off the natty, allowing people to keep their seats, and work on the remodel and redistribution over the next season. Can I ask that you make a point of coming back on Thursday to tell us what your email tells you? I'm wondering how particularized to individual situations the emails will be, and you are the subset of the subset whose situation is the most "interesting" here. (I've only had my tickets since 2014 - Carlini effect; if anybody getting bumped out the 'gold' sections, it should be me and not you.)

Coaches can begin talking to 2024 recruits on Wednesday. Any ideas on names and when we might expect some commitments? Camps are right around the corner as well. I’m looking forward to seeing some “Bingo’s”.

I've been a season ticket holder since 2007. I sat through 5 terrible seasons. And I went.
I also donate and have for 3-4 years and have a decent amount of points all things considered. Currently in bronze seats. What are my chances of being able to get my seats?
I also have attended the post season, home and away, every year (not the FF this year but otherwise visiting regionals).
Does anyone in the UW care? Or do they just want someone's money, but don't care who?
Again, I can live with my price increase in P, if I am not otherwise harmed. If so, streaming it is, and they won't see donations anymore.
The time is now for a price increase. We've been spoiled by our prices. But I think perhaps a little slower in some of the sections. I'm a little sad about it, because regular folks could go, and that's now going by the wayside. But it is what it is.

It would make a lot sense for the school to track all the details of a highly loyal ticket holder. Do they have a system to do this and do they use it? Very curious.

When I get some piece of mail related to season tickets, etc from the athletic department, it has my "patron id #" on it. So, yes, at least for people who haven't moved and going back at least X number of years, there is such an account and account history.

Here is also my annual complaint of how they don't release post season visitor tickets when the Badgers travel. They wouldn't know I've gone because they aren't selling me the visitor tickets. Instead I am scouring the internet to find them.
And this problem started as early as 2013, when they weren't nearly on demand. So it's a long standing issue.
I wish Stub Hub was better regulated. No way "one person" has an 10 block session they are unable to use.

That’s an interesting change of heart to be considering a BTT for VB. How much regular season do you give up to have a tournament? A couple games? Do you have all 14 teams participate? I’ve never paid any attention to other conferences who have postseason tournaments, so I have no idea how those work.

I’ve never paid any attention to other conferences who have postseason tournaments, so I have no idea how those work. I think we'd probably do it where instead of having 20 regular conference games, we'd have 16-18 regular conference games and a 5-round conference tournament, where seeds 5-8 get a 1st round bye and seeds 1-4 get 1st & 2nd round byes. For VB IMO we'd need to do the tournament spread out over a longer timeframe than basketball. The basketball tournament is 5 consecutive days, with your top 8 teams potentially playing 3 days in a row. It seems like we'd need a rest day or something in there - anything else is asking to have your top players blow up before the NCAAs. My take on Sheff's about-face on the topic of a Big Ten Tournament is simply that he's not taking any options off the table when it comes to doing what needs to be done to increase TV coverage of the sport.

I do not think the rendering detail is meant to be used at face value as the net does not appear to cut section F in half. My seat at the 10 ft line is now in the aisle.

Sheff & Punzel on the latest Joncast. open.spotify.com/episode/4Zy7CkMDfWQ54DEIwiHfbg?si=PaMJQpuoRGGObRl_EAnyQgFranklin is here and is a beast in the weight room. Wrobel will come to Madison after AAU nationals. Sheff is going to Italy for the CEV U21 championships - Orzoł is playing for Poland and Güçtekin is playing for Turkey. He said GG won’t get to Madison until the day before they start preseason in August. Punzel’s book is done and he said there’s some great stuff about Sheff’s origins in there. It’ll be out later this summer.

BTT. Hmm. I personally like the 20 game season too much. Those tournaments feature a lot of matches in a short time. I would not be opposed to a four team tournament though. Top four records, done. Tiebreaker is sets won or head to head.
Might get a certain coach to shut up a little.
