I do not think the rendering detail is meant to be used at face value as the net does not appear to cut section F in half. My seat at the 10 ft line is now in the aisle. The sections in the 'rendering' have 15, 14 and 13 seats. The new section chart says they will have 18, 21, and 15. The old chart had 18, 21, and 16 (and I am 100% sure that the numbers only went up to 16 in section E). They are going to be full "bucket" seats, and not benches? But you're going to fit as many people in as you had on the benches?!? I'll believe that when I see it. (the banner title on that web site made me laugh out loud.)

Save photo and post it here? I just bailed from that site, so I’m not even going back to see this link.

Also, those sections are the ones that (used to) collapse, giving them additional floor space for practice. I can't imagine they would be able to collapse with "bucket" seats; would they even still collapse with benches and seatbacks? Does less floor space hinder practices? (I just got done with a week at LaBahn watching U18 women's hockey - benches with seatbacks. The seatbacks there do little to nothing for me.)

Tis will force parents to be moved to a different area since they - or recruits - cannot have preferred seating.

My guess is the Bronze portions of D and H - immediately to the right and left of the new Gold section.

The guy who started it is cool, and I’d tailgated with him often in the past (first met him in 2005), but he’s not too active on the site anymore. The current moderation team leaves a lot to be desired, IMHO. I’ve since realized that posting on there had been a HUGE drain on my time, so that’s been a big plus for leaving.

Damn… 4 road matches to end the season? WTH?

BTT. Hmm. I personally like the 20 game season too much. Those tournaments feature a lot of matches in a short time. I would not be opposed to a four team tournament though. Top four records, done. Tiebreaker is sets won or head to head. Might get a certain coach to shut up a little. Back when we used to argue about whether the conference champion of a 20 game season was actually a conference champion given unbalanced schedules (in 2014 I think), one scheme to balance schedules was to divide the conference into two divisions. Every team in a division would play each other twice, and teams in the other division once (6x2+1x7 = 19). The teams would then play each other in a 1st v 1st, 2nd v 2nd, 3rd v 3rd etc set of matches to determine final ranking as a way of compensating for imbalances between schedules/conferences. Of course, the problem is how to define those conferences in a fair (and financially feasible) way. I personally think one off games are a terrible way to determine a conference champion. I always prefer a seasons body of work to determine a champion. The NCAAs give us the one off matches and the season end status answers. No reason to duplicate that at conference level. If you want to do playoffs, do it like they do in Europe to get rid of the random element. Of course that means more matches - so it's not feasible. I can see the argument for spectacle though.

That looks like a tough schedule to me. Ohio State and Purdue are only once but both are away. All the other top tier teams (I would count Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska, PSU) twice.

Save photo and post it here? I just bailed from that site, so I’m not even going back to see this link. I tried to upload the images on this board, but even after I got them below the size limit they were not posted because there is a limit on total images. I was below that also. As far as how accurate the renderings are, they are meant to give you the general idea. I have no doubt there will indeed be seats almost identical to the ones in the Kohl center. It explains why the pricing for that section is so steep.

The good news is that since they charter, it's much less of a big deal. Lincoln to Columbus is 2 hours in flight. Minnesota does the reverse of us - they play at tOSU on Friday and at Nebraska on Saturday. The Buckeyes and Huskers get Minny and us, back to back. They do get to sleep in their own beds, though, which is for sure a win.
