Teams we play 2x: Minnesota, Penn State, Nebraska, Illinois, Rutgers, Michigan, Indiana
Teams we play 1x: Northwestern, Michigan State, Maryland, @ Iowa, @ Purdue, @ Ohio State
If the top group is MN, PSU, NEB, PUR, OSU, ILL and us, that feels like a pretty fair schedule.

I knew the schedule was coming out, so when I got home, I went straight to the UW "schedule" page. And it is missing two matches; it took me way too long to resolve what i saw there and what I see here :-o

The schedule on WI's site does show playing Baylor at Waco which I think is wrong (I think all of those weekend games of the challenge are in the same location). They better be, I just might go, and not rent a car. We'll see.

I thought it was the Big 12/B1G Challenge...in one spot, with one set of tickets. Does this mean Minnesota and Wisconsin have to run back and forth? What about all the fans? (I've never heard of them doing it like that before.)

One more schedule question: Kentucky lists Friday evening, Sept. 9, for the Wisconsin match.
Is UW playing Campbell the next day in Lexington?...or somewhere else? (Asking because there is no other match listed that Saturday on the UK site besides ISU vs. UK)

(Asking because there is no other match listed that Saturday on the UK site besides ISU vs. UK) The schedule at uwbadgers.com right now has the whole weekend as TBA. That maybe means there's a schedule problem with Campbell, etc. and maybe even the Kentucky match isn't necessarily Friday.

Should be an interesting recruiting period. Scholarship usage is incredibly fluid in today's environment. But for arguments sake, seems like lining up at least two recruits for 2024 would be logical at this point. Maybe prioritize a middle and a setter? No real idea on specifically who. Any good guesses?
Anticipating hart's scholarship earmarked for damrow. Then, one freed up from Jardine and one ultimately from Izzy. If our current Juniors take the extra covid year, there doesn't appear an obvious opening for playing time in 2024. But, it would be nice to add some underclassmen depth. 2025 could be interesting - will need some really good recruits or transfers to replace departures. In theory(although i'd say highly unlikely), devyn, crawford, demps, orzol, smrek, franklin, and mj could all exhaust eligibility and be departing UW at the same time.

Definitely a setter I also think. We should be on the short lists of at least a couple of the top 10 rated setters for 2024. Then I think you could go either middle or pin hitter. The extra COVID year will make it especially difficult to get our recruiting classes balanced. Only 2 2021's, 2 2022's and tentatively ONE for 2023. That leaves 7 between 2024 and 2025 (the last year that COVID impacts recruiting) . The following players will all have spent at least 4 years in college and thus technically could move on if they are slated for graduation in May of 2023... Gabby Mccaa Izzy Ashburn Liz Gregorski Anna MacDonald Joslyn Boyer Danielle Hart Hart is definitely done thus freeing up one scholarship and the only other player on scholarship of those is Izzy and she could decide to use her COVID year ( not sure who is responsible for the $$$). With Damrow coming in 2023 does Boyer then bolt? MacDonald, Mccaa, and Gregorski may not see the court too much this season but the teams role "chemistry) players have been amazing in creating such a phenomenal winning environment. The one BIG question mark on this team for 2022 will definitely be depth in the back row. But that should be no surprise after losing two Super Seniors who played at such a high level.

Two things: - "Hart is definitely done" : Hart is in very much the same situation as Nebraska's Kayla Caffey in terms of redshirt and COVID and medical hardship years. No, I don't expect Hart to petition for a "seventh year", but she could. - "...does Boyer then bolt?" : if by "bolt" you mean transfer portal, that is a one-time thing, and Boyer has already used her "one time".
