I like that Rob is keeping us honest. For fun, I'll take a stab at playing...........couldn't Boyer, in theory, get a waiver and still take advantage of a grad-transfer???

I think Boyer is not likely to want to leave. She is in position to become a key member of a squad that could be top 5 by the end of next season. It's almost certain. That is a huge step up from Iowa, as that program now stands.

Rainbow keeping us honest is a given of the universe.

Granted she did already choose to come to UW to compete as a DS after being a starting Libero. However, she isn't on scholarship at UW, and depending on how things shake out, could see herself getting passed by an incoming freshman in 2023. If she wants to use the covid year to play, it seems reasonable to consider looking elsewhere for a better opportunity for playing time. She has already won a national championship, maybe another shot at a starting L starts to look good.

A quick google - so I could be wrong - appears to say that (with exceptions) to use the 'grad transfer' rule, it must be your first time transferring.

Adanna Rollins comes to mind - grad transferring to Kentucky after leaving Minny to go to PSU.

VB FAQ for 2022 is up now, and the question about who gets priority has mostly been addressed:
I am in the bronze priority group, and it sounds like those rows are being displaced to accommodate visiting team tickets, so… I’m going to be sitting elsewhere this 2022. Since this is my second season actually sitting somewhere (bought our first season tickets in 2020, but donated the ticket costs), I’m not going to be too upset about this. The only thing that might suck is that it could be harder to get MORE seats than someone had last year. It appears as if they’re only considering equal or less numbers of tickets compared to 2021.

In today's environment, it may only be a velvet rope holding exceptions/waivers back.

It also sounds like pretty much everyone is going to be playing musical chairs, throughout the Field House. People who were in what is now the Silver section do not appear to have any sort of priority, such that people displaced from what is now Gold (and a few rows of Bronze) could bump out some people in what is now Silver.

Adanna Rollins comes to mind - grad transferring to Kentucky after leaving Minny to go to PSU. According to her PSU bio page, she completed her bachelor's at Minn. So going to PSU was already a "grad transfer". So then being able to go to Kentucky has to be because of an exception; the obvious guess would be because of the coaching change.

Last week's email said that there would be a more detailed email today. I assume it will also be more "personalized" to individual circumstances (though I may be overestmating). And as of yet, no email on my end.

Last week's email said that there would be a more detailed email today. I assume it will also be more "personalized" to individual circumstances (though I may be overestmating). And as of yet, no email on my end. It seems to affect everyone in Gold, a very small section of people in D & H in Bronze (rows 4-7), and everyone in row 1 of P, Q, R, S, & T. If you’re not in Gold or those specific rows of Bronze & Silver, you may not get a custom email. I haven’t checked our email yet, but I’m in that small sliver of Bronze that’s being affected. I will relay any relevant info as it comes in, but I’m calling the ticket office at 9 to discuss our options. I really wanted to go from 2 tickets to 3 this fall, but that seems highly unlikely, since there’s no guarantee of the extra seat being next to our main 2 seats. EDIT: There is information at the top of the Season Ticket Priority Request Form that spells out the options. Here is what it says for my options: Since I’m in a displaced section of Bronze, I will get be able to have priority over others in Bronze, but less priority over anyone in Gold who wants to move to Bronze.

(I haven't received the expected email yet, but...)
At the top of my priority request form, it says (in part) "Please note that should you request season tickets at the GOLD price level and your season ticket request is able to be filled at the GOLD price level, you will not have the same section, row and seat numbers as held for the 2021 season. Seats will be assigned based on your rank as of July 1 within your priority request group."
I gotta pay a $250 "donation", and I'm not even guaranteed to get my same seat?!?
SMH...
