That confuses me. You brought up her "bigger presence at the net". Unless they run a 5-2, then for that presence to matter, she's the 5-1 setter, and Izzy is probably back to only a serving specialist. Hammill sets in back row, and someone else hits/blocks for her in front row. Technique aside, chances are that the person who hits/blocks for her in the front row will provide a bigger block because most of them are… well, bigger. The only system Hammill’s blocking presence gives her a notable advantage over Ashburn is in the 5-1, where she is clearly a bigger block than Ashburn playing the same position. If they go with that system, she has an advantage, all else being equal. That’s what I have been presuming will happen based on past preferences of the coaching staff. However, with the passing options available to the badgers, they could run a 6-2 system where Hammill and Ashburn both set from the back row. All that said, we haven’t seen enough of either of them to know how this plays out. Or if they play a 5-2, Hamill's size is also utilized while not losing the Smrek/Demps opposite combo. This where I came in.

This where I came in. Smrek and Demps could still play in a 6-2, but Demps would be hitting out of the front row subbing for one of the setters. Whether it makes more sense for her to hit solely out of the back row is one of the questions the coaching staff will have to address. I have a feeling that Rettke’s absence may affect that decision, but it is true that Demps’ blocking hasn’t stood out up to this point. That said, I don’t really know how Hammill stacks up.

(I hope I have this right)
Danielle Hart has a "story" up on her Instagram that is a screenshot of texts between her and Dana (kids and their social media!) where Danielle is saying that she just hit a new PR for weight and reps doing "back squats".
If I have that right, it's gotta be great news regarding he recovery and the current state of her knee.

She was one I thought might move on...considering her life interests, her redshirting, the injury and that this would make 6 years at UW.
The Field House is going to make some noise when she comes into her first match back.

One outlet at the main gate of Camp Randall, and a second one just inside the main door at the Kohl Center. Both are open during regular hours, even when there's no game, etc. They're also 'related' somehow to "Name of the Game" stores at West Towne, etc.
