New puppy in the house so I'm tied to la casa. Rewatching Pen. State WI 2019 BIG title match. Passing with Clark, Barnes and Dodge is SO good. I miss Molly Haggerty. Coincidentally, the puppy is Molly.

Kelly is still knocking on doors!  I ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY LOVE how Coach Sheffield is going about things. A true difference maker for the sport of women's volleyball. When all is said and done he will be on the Mount Rushmore of Badger coaches Bob Johnson Barry Alvarez Mark Johnson Kelly Sheffield No Particular Order |

Anna Smrek: Adjustments to being a "star" Culture: A lot of talk about this from Anna and Sarah, largely about interpersonal accountability and trust. Transfers: Rundown of individuals. One tidbit "Shanel Bramschreiber, hopefully we can get her eligible." hmmm. Franklin's choice: Largely about culture again International exposure: Thinks this will be a huge deal down the road. UW will never have a team of all international players, but Sheff really wants diversity in squad if he can get it. Part of educational mission. He also makes a pitch I haven't heard before - in Europe you take an athletic or an academic track, but US is only place you can do both at once. Some international athletes want this freedom. Setters and experience: Still deciding between an 5-1 and a 6-2. Ruse Rose retirement and new coaches: I want to see this response. Shanel was actively looking for a pro contract, so probably didn’t even apply or work anything out until she talked to Wiscy. I’m sure they’ll get her eligible, but hopefully they can before the start of the season, and not a couple weeks in (like Saige Ka’aha’aina Torres at Texas last season).

Hmmm about Shanel is right. Pretty late in the game to have that uncertainty. The media day transcript also did not show any Sheffield mention of Gabby McCaa....wonder why not? He mentioned three transfers and left her out, but the website still has her on the roster. |
