Is there a place online where season ticket holder sell their tickets for matches? The only place I found Wisconsin @ Iowa tickets is on Ticket Master. Oh, right, I was speaking for matches in Madison. Each venue uses its own ticket sale platform, and Wisconsin season ticket holders wouldn't have tickets to the match at Iowa by default.

Well, speaking of tickets, I've concluded i won't make it to the MN match. I wasn't too happy with my last stubbub encounter, so i'll offer them here cheaper than stubhub. They are only general admission(I have four tickets), but i believe the match is sold out. If you can venmo or paypal and have a badger app/ticket account that I can transfer them into, PM me.

Here is Sheffield press conference. He isn't even sure if Shanel will be playing. He mostly said he wasn't sure how she might fit in, since they like how GG is playing and like the backrow attack option in every rotation. I hope they find a way to get her in there. Maybe it will just be situational like Demps. The honest truth is that back row attack and GG's play were both big reasons of why we beat Purdue at Purdue (of course serving and Orzol in general also were big). So yeah, Shanel's route to playing time is complicated.

Does anyone see our 2023 recruit, Saige Damerow, making an impact for our team as a freshman next year? Just honest, realistic thoughts because I have not seen much about her as a recruit

It would be hard to unseat GG at this point, but we definitely need a backup and someone who’s playing the other side in practice.

All I know is that our 6-2 lineup does not encourage any DS by Sheffield's definition.

Pretty sure Ashburn will be back next season. Oh really? Was there any interview of her that I am not aware of? Why would you presume she would leave? As for indications one way or the other: Ashburn did not participate in the 'senior jump in the lake'. Liz Gregorski - same incoming class as Izzy - did participate. Of course that isn't determinative; each could change their mind on what that indicates regarding their plans. Izzy has already graduated and has already begun working on a masters. I don't recall what the masters program is, but one could look up whether it is a one year or two year program. If it is a two year program, she'll be on campus anyway... ---------- Business analytics - a three semester curriculum

Do you have any reason to think or believe she won't be back? Because I've now given you two to think she will be. I'm just "asking for a source".

Article by Polzin about Shanel’s situation and Sheff’s opinion of it. Spoiler alert - he’s not a fan. There is a bias against women’s sports and a bias against volleyball players whose only option for assessing options overseas is an agent. Some tidbits here concerning cases of male football players who have been granted leniency - including one from Wisconsin. That clarifies to me why UW is behind her so clearly on the issue. The NCAA stated that they did not apply the same leniency in her case because she knew that she had another year of eligibility when she hired the agent, whereas the badger football player in a similar situation supposedly did not know he had eligibility remaining. That seems a strange basis on which to render such a divergent opinion. Speaking of which, Sheffield apparently talked to a volleyball transfer student who did the exact same thing, and is now playing regularly for a top team because she just did not admit to the NCAA that she had hired an agent. Shanel did and she was punished for her honesty. Another thing appears to be that the panel making these decisions does not comment on other decisions, and therefore does not have to defend apparent discrepancies in application of the rules. That makes me wonder if they ever consider those other cases when they make decisions. The NCAA is painting this a lenient decision in the absence of that context. I can see why that position makes Sheffield and Shanel angry.

Who is playing elsewhere that was same situation? Totally believe it’s happened with other players and they weren’t honest but not sure how you stop it?

Isn't that obvious? She is a senior and Covid eligibility is optional. And I did not know she has started working on a master degree.

No. Is there any Badger other that Haggerty - whose situation was rather unique, IMO - who has "opted out"? Unless given some indication otherwise, assume they will opt in, and you'll be right way more often than not.
