It is a bit random of her to come over.
She's playing in the Turkish league this year (Same as Carlini)
It looks like she's been their libero off and on this season. She is passing 50% positive, 29% perfect.
She's the 10th ranked libero this season
She played in the U20 world championship too. Played against the USA in their match.

(Not to throw water on the whole thing, but how does she play in the same league as Carlini, but retain eligibility to play in the NCAA? Hockey players can play in "junior leagues" in Canada and get paid, but only their living expenses, not get payed for actually playing. Likewise baseball players and the 'summer leagues', Madison Muskies, etc. Something like that?)

Her "home" team is Fenerbahce (same as many other turkish players in the ncaa) but she's been loaned out a couple of times. I didnt know they could do that with amateurs. (edit, the article says shes been playing as an amateur) She's also a bit older. She'll turn 20 in september or october.

Eh, the age bit concerns me less. It’s not uncommon for non-US athletes to be a bit older than their classmates because of the different school structures in other countries, plus the extra time it can take to pass the TOEFL and get NCAA eligibility certified.

So does anyone know how old she is? 10-10-02, posted earlier. She's only 19, people. Basically a gap year. See Rob's posted video above. If you read the article, it's not random at all. She wanted to play collegiate level and her videos were sent to UW. It was she who started it.

It was my understanding if you play in a league with professionals, you’re a professional? I’m sure Wisconsin has done their due diligence but as I said, that was my understanding.

(and its just going to become more common)
