Just watched the replay of the match 🤬😡🥵 Wow. Who were those imposters, I did not recognize the middles! CC had her worse offensive performance of the season. Hart as well :-( PASSING rivaled the school of the blind team stats…. How does one not hide GG in SR and just pass with your pins? How does Sheffield not even attempt to use Chantelle B as a potential alternate to a seriously struggling serve receive. Badgers were never in control the entire match, and self imploded in a very winnable match. This is not about Putt, congrats you and your whiny coach move on - not taking anything from you, so no need to validate your win. How about just keeping Shrek in the middle??! She had so many opportunities on the outside to score and simply performed as tho she was was 5-9. Cement feet to the ball and no ability to mix shots, no bueno. It’s a crime Demps was just sitting there and cheering, how?? How does the person who stamped your national championship ticket a season ago just sit there as team passes a 1.4? Criminal. Orzol once again, 1255 Attempts for 3 kills… per usual .006 hitting clip, why? You have Wrobel!! She’ll likely join Demps on that portal sometime today. Its set in blood for ever, GG and Orzol will never come out — it must be some unwritten euro rule… if I’m a teammate in the same position, I’m considering my options. Badgers were cheated this season, primarily Sheffield mismanaged what could have been a championship team — do better Sheffield - learn some game management skills. It’s ok to sub and have your favorites know there are consequences for piss poor play. My grades for the year: Robinson A Shrek C Setters C- GG when on, A. When off, D. Too extreme between the two . Liz dancing: A+ Hart A CC B++ Orzol C+ Franklin B- Coach C Demps: I’m sorry Still ❤️ you Badgers — wouldn’t trade you for the world! Hart it was a pleasure seeing you grow and perform, you will be missed! Wow you are so wrong on so many counts on this haha. Apart from the foul language toward Coach Sheffield, your analysis of players should be giving them a grade, they’re people and humans at the end of the day who all work hard. That being said your grading is so off. Not sure how GG could ever get an A if she wasn’t even kn the all freshman team, the matches they lost this season were unfortunately due to passing and ball handling, Smrek actually had a great game, every good set she had was virtually a kill hitting over the block, other times the sets by MJ were so far off practically unhittable. And for the record, if you’re basing grading off stats, Devyn and Smrek both hit .318 on the season and both have over 1.10bps as RSs. While CC was great blocking, her offense is not good, about ~0.95kps on hitting below .310 as a middle. And orzol you are so misguided, she is the glue of this team and does literally everything from being a great left side blocker, our best passer, and arguably our biggest fighter on the court bringing energy and fighting no matter how she is playing. All of her sets are tough and OOS yet every game she’s gotta go out there and swing her heart out, and not let any of that affect her blocking, passing, back row, serving, or any mental aspect. You should know by now if demps and wrobel are not on the floor it’s for a good reason. Demps unfortunately is an all around player but doesn’t stand out anywhere, her hits are soft and not always terminal despite being low error. Her blocking is the biggest weakness and good teams WILL attack her. Her back row is much improved but again arguably not better than orzol or Franklin. Wrobel could have been given more of a shot but likely is a little inconsistent but would love to see her get more time somehow. Don’t be so negative on this board vbdiva2… let’s congratulate this group for their hard work and continuous development

About last night's 5th set 13-13 no-call on Pitt's double contact, I believe I read at the beginning of the season that the refs were to call double contacts more loosely this year. I agree with the no-call on that play. (Darn)

They had a bad weekend, and they picked a bad time to do so. That doesn't make them "terrible"; it means they had a bad weekend.

Refs didn't call a great game but it went both ways. I knew Wisconsin was in trouble when they lost to Florida earlier in the season. This team seem to have many lapses where they played down to the competition. Good team and they will be back next season as one of the preseason favorites.

Was it just a bad weekend No, the Big Ten doesn't have any teams that serve as tough as Penn State and Pitt. They've seen nothing like that all year. Oh, wait. Penn State is in the Big Ten! They have seen that before! SMH... Yes. It was just a bad weekend.

It was strange watching games 2 and 3 and Wisconsin didn’t seem to play with urgency… it felt like the crowd was frustrated and quiet and only truly figured to start cheering louder as the opponent made it to the red zone … as if Wisky would catch up and finish no matter the set score? The energy was off …. it was an odd experience…
Maybe it was just me..

About last night's 5th set 13-13 no-call on Pitt's double contact, I believe I read at the beginning of the season that the refs were to call double contacts more loosely this year. I agree with the no-call on that play. (Darn) The only call I didn't agree with was the double that was called on Izzy - seemed minor with no advantage gained. But Izzy didn't seem surprised so maybe I misread that. A lot of the other stuff - missed touch calls and close line calls - were properly taken care of through replay. Which, a thought I had: International Vball doesn't use line judges, has the high-tech replay system installed instead, and gives the coaches more challenges (two refundable challenges per set). And it's really smooth. I don't think one year's savings of line judges makes the difference (28 times what, $200 + transportation for local line judges has got to be around $10,000 per year, where as the systems are upwards of $100,000 to install I think), but frankly if volleyball wants to go big time, we have to get replays figured out. Besides, as DBK clearly said to the R2 at one point in the Louisville-Oregon game yesterday, "why even have line judges?" if they just end up getting overturned by the R1 and R2 on key calls anyways.
