Because we’re jealous that she’d fill a position of need and is an All-American who was also interested in Wisconsin 2 years ago and again this year? Sure, the first time in modern history that Wisconsin has missed out on a transfer DS.

I’ve heard from someone close to the team that Wisconsin was pursuing her very, very hard early on, probably before it was public knowledge she was transferring. They said “before any other team” but not sure how they would even know that. Maybe they got a little overconfident that they’d land her.

Lol I love how the media actually follows these things and comments on it.

Does anyone think Boyer was injured at the end of the season? Or was it the emergence of Demps that kept her on the bench? It was her passing numbers that caused her to leave an opening for Demps. If you can't run middle off her passes, no point in having her there. Seemed to digress or reflected the tougher serving we saw later in conference.

Is it wrong that I want to keep Robinson in the middle and Smrek on the right? I think Robinson did a great job on the right her true freshman year, but I personally think she's just so much more dynamic in the middle. It's a conundrum. Smrek came into her own on the right. But I thought Robinson was better on the right than in the middle. As much as I love Smrek blocking on the RS, I think she played better (and looked more comfortable) in the middle. Robinson is an AA at RS. I think that makes the most sense.

Her offense out of the back row made an incredible difference in our season. She was incredible. I'm so excited about her potential. A true weapon!

One way to keep Smrek and Robinson on the RS, is to run a 6-2 with Hammill and Ashburn... or possibly a top setter transfer TBA -- Not sure Sheffield wants to run a 6-2.... Demps and Wrobel are going to kill it from the back and front.....
Crawford and Hart in the middle in case of 6-2, I just don't see it.... Crawford may need to wait her turn for Hart to graduate. If Orzol is open to it, she should be Libero -- I know its unconventional... she's an incredible athlete and if she just needs to focus on quarterbacking the backrow, she'll be amazing
Hatfiled is a shoe-in IMHO.
Knuckles as a GR Transfer?

Per Dennis we had 2 schollies left - this was going into the FF. So with Crawford that makes one. Would Monson walk on so Sheff can use that scholarship for a setter? If we’re gonna pick up a bro from the portal I’d think we’d need to show them the money.

Crawford sounds like a great fit for the Badgers' roster construction needs. I am not sure why they would need a setter with the two they have on the roster. Libero seems like a bigger concern. I am hoping someone or someones already here can step up, but you can never have too many good passers.

Interesting tidbit from Caroline Crawford's Instagram story: her current major is biochemistry. Easy to forget sometimes (logically, since this is a volleyball board) that these more than many are actual student-athletes. With Sydney an academic all-american in appiled biotechnology and MJ being an academic all big-ten honoree in biomedical engineering, there is a healthy sliver of the team in some serious science fields.

Watched a decent chunk of the Pitt-Kansas match last night, and am pretty excited at what she’ll bring to the team next year. She appeared to be on of Kansas’ top players.
