Here are my preseason predictions (going bold here): 1. Stanford 2. USC 3. Oregon 4. Washington 5. UCLA 6. Washington State 7. Arizona State 8. Colorado 9. Arizona 10. Utah 11. Oregon State 12. Cal Edit: I think the top 4 could finish in any order. UCLA, WSU & ASU are in tier 2. Then CU, AZ & Utah are in tier 3. OSU & Cal at the bottom. POY: Nuneviller FOY: Wilson SOY: Pukis LOY: Bays COY: Keller No way is UCLA finishing that low outside of a major injury. Mac May and Zoe Fleck we’re phenomenal Bruins but come on now, there is a decent amount of experience coming back on this team and some added pieces that could be really solid for UCLA. UCLA replaces their leading scorer, setter, and libero. No other returning player consistently played and was consistently good last year. Anything 1 - 6 as a prediction could be justified, IMO.

UCLA will finish top 3. McKissock will be great, Forte will start, and getting Cole from Duke is huge. Luper will be one of the best hitters in the conference this year. McCall and N'Diaye need to step up though. My predictions: 1 Washington 2 UCLA 3 Oregon 4 Stanford 5 USC/WSU 7 Arizona State 8 Arizona/Colorado 10 Utah 11 Oregon State 12 Cal (man, I remember the Hanna Cutura/Carli Lloyd years like it was yesterday....WTF happened Cal?)

There is a huge question of just how good WSU is when Pukis is not on the court for them. One of many things we'll find out when the matches start happening. Of course the flip side to that is how much does she improve Oregon? Pukis makes Oregon a FF team if they avoid injuries

Pukis makes Oregon a FF team if they avoid injuries Who does Oregon even have coming back offensively besides their undersized outside? Karson Bacon, 2nd in PAC in hitting %, over .400, Kiari Robey (MB) split time at the end with Hansen. Reagan Hope and Colby Neal (RS Freshmen) are also VERY good MBs. Coaches ask Ulmer, how is he going to manage so many good MB. Gloria Mutiri, All PAC-12 spring and HM P12 fall. Morgan Lewis (RS/OH), has a cannon. Mimi Coyer is a really good Freshman OH and Elise Agi outside is challenging. Pukis is very good and Ferrera has run the show and is even better this spring with Pukis in. She is a gritty competitor. That isn’t even talking about the passing.

I do think Oregon has the edge on passing with Nuneviller and their libero being 2 of the strongest passers in the conference, I guess it remains to be seen what the rest will look like. Does it still look like Reagan Hope will be in the middle?

Watching the green yellow currently. 😊 Fun watching some of powerful hits and big blocks.

I too think Oregon is very good and have them at nine in the VolleyTalk poll. Their D and passing are right up there near the best in collegiate volleyball. Pukis will be a pretty big upgrade at setter, so that will make all of the Duck's hitters better. There are some minor questions along the front row, but if those are answered this team will shine and could win the Pac-12. I'm not sure they are FF material, but it wouldn't surprise me if they make a Regional final.

Ung is a stud, looks like team chemistry with her is more positive. But let’s be honest. It’s the honeymoon phase in pre-season.
