Fellows might, key word, MIGHT come back (unlikely, but we will see). There will be 6 DSs again and a solidified pin group so could very much be movement among the backups, but none among the starters. Rubio is looking for a middle transfer to come in, similar to what Merle did. New left handed setter/oppo coming in, she’s really solid. Really wouldn’t be shocked if there’s a very open setting competition and/or Rubio finally falling for a 6-2. I’m really excited to see Sofia and Jaelyn progress through a full offseason and Hiapo could very easily be argued the best libero in the Pac 12 with the departure of Fleck (and DeLuzio). Her or Bays for sure.

Murphy is the frontrunner for LOY but Bays could challenge her. Trubint could also have a strong freshman season.

Do you think that Stanford can find another Graduate Student Athlete like Madeline Gates? I'm hoping to find a pallet of $100 dollar bills sitting next to the road outside my office, similar in size to the ones the US sent via cargo plane to Iran several years ago.

She was great as a freshman and sophomore in high school. Haven't seen her play since then, but she had solid fundamentals.

Her or Bays for sure. So S- Hermann, ?? L- Hiapo OH - Maldinado Diaz (Gedikoglu), Hodge Opp - Stubbe, ?? (Carrocio) MB - Johnson, Fellows (maybe), ?? DS - Gedikoglu, Carrocio Is that correct? (There aren't many ppl here who know AZ's lineup. There probably aren't many who know any team's but their own and there aren't that many fans for any given team, though WA, OR, UCLA, and Stanford have a fair number each.) I don't think Hiapo is the best L in the PAC but she's solid. Stubbe had a good season but you think the new opp may beat her out? -- I'd guess they're somewhere in the middle again. Cal and Oregon State will probably still be on the bottom. Both have some promising players but are also losing a lot. ASU will probably be in the middle too. They still have Isanovic plus Levinksa, Jeter, and Cyr. They lost Cox and still need to shore up the backcourt. I don't know what's up with Colorado. Maybe one of their fans will post. But that's probably another middle team but possibly bottom(ish) again. It's hard to replace a player like Clayton. Utah is losing Drews, Weatherington, and Grace. I'm not sure about Jankiewitz, Yett, or Robinson. They're probably in the middle but may struggle. USC loses a lot of players but also have a good recruiting class. Who does WSU have coming in? They lose Pukis and Tusa. Ung is good but Pukis may be hard to replace and Tusa was a very good OH2. Washington, Oregon, UCLA, and Stanford should be good. I guess I see them about the same as last season. Maybe they'll do a little better if, e.g., Utah or USC struggle.

I'm pretty sure that Jankiewicz is out of eligibility. She played four years at Illinois State before transferring to Utah.

OH- Sofia Maldonado Diaz, Jaelyn Hodge (both will most likely play six rotations to start out) Opp- Puk Stubbe (possibly freshman Ana Heath if we run a 6-2, but she won’t beat out Puk if it’s a 5-1, Puk is real deal. If her numbers don’t look extraordinary, it’s because she was only able to join the team days before the season started and was a complete beach player back in the Netherlands. You wanna talk about a potential breakout candidate, it’s her) S- Emery Herman (Ava Torterello played quite a bit this season, but I wouldn’t be just shocked to see a completely open competition with the new S/Opp coming in, she’s good) MB- Alayna Johnson, Nicole Briggs (possibly a Fellows 5th, would also be shocked to not see a transfer come in, interested to see how freshman Lauren Rumel looks as well) DS- Jaleesa Caraccio will most likely continue to be the serving specialist, Joy Galles and/or Madison Ellman may see bigger roles this upcoming year if the bad passing from the end of the year continues into this year I’ll be interested to see if Dilara Gedikoglu sticks around. Former AAC freshman of the year and has been an amazing passer for Arizona but never given the chance to play 6 rotations.

I think we'll know more after the transfer dust settles.
So far, IMO, Oregon is the big transfer winner. UW could use another big dawg.
But I'm not going to be surprised, given their underclass talent, if Stanford runs away with the PAC

She was probably next in line for votes here after Miner and Luper (though the rest of the players selected for the PAC-12 All Frosh team were in contention too). Some got tired of always voting for Luper or Miner and wanted other candidates. Rubio seemed pretty high on Hermann. How good is the new setter? What's up with China Rai Crouch? Is she going to move to middle? Is Wroblicky staying? I was wondering about whether Gedikoglu will stay as well. kimdc raised that earlier this season bc she wasn't playing all 6 rotations and presumably wanted to.
