re: Stubbe Ppl kind of know about her bc of the voting for PAC-12 Frosh of the Week, both by the PAC-12 and here. She was probably next in line for votes here after Miner and Luper (though the rest of the players selected for the PAC-12 All Frosh team were in contention too). Some got tired of always voting for Luper or Miner and wanted other candidates. Rubio seemed pretty high on Hermann. How good is the new setter? What's up with China Rai Crouch? Is she going to move to middle? Is Owes staying? I was wondering about whether Gedikoglu will stay as well. kimdc raised that earlier this season bc she wasn't playing all 6 rotations and presumably wanted to. Herman has the potential to be a Marlie Monzeres caliber setter. She’s big and physical at the net now with a dump that gets through 95% of teams at a great efficiency. But her location and choices were not good this year which led to Torterello playing a lot. China started at middle her freshman year before her concussion but was a very raw player, especially in the middle. If we’re being completely honest, I don’t know if she’ll make a return to volleyball. Who is Owes though?

She really was injured this year but took longer than expected to come back. From what I have seen of her, she will not ever see the court at Arizona, but I don’t know what she is doing.

So S- Hermann, ?? L- Hiapo OH - Maldinado Diaz (Gedikoglu), Hodge Opp - Stubbe, ?? (Carrocio) MB - Johnson, Fellows (maybe), ?? DS - Gedikoglu, Carrocio Is that correct? (There aren't many ppl here who know AZ's lineup. There probably aren't many who know any team's but their own and there aren't that many fans for any given team, though WA, OR, UCLA, and Stanford have a fair number each.) I don't think Hiapo is the best L in the PAC but she's solid. Stubbe had a good season but you think the new opp may beat her out? -- I'd guess they're somewhere in the middle again. OH- Sofia Maldonado Diaz, Jaelyn Hodge (both will most likely play six rotations to start out) Opp- Puk Stubbe (possibly freshman Ana Heath if we run a 6-2, but she won’t beat out Puk if it’s a 5-1, Puk is real deal. If her numbers don’t look extraordinary, it’s because she was only able to join the team days before the season started and was a complete beach player back in the Netherlands. You wanna talk about a potential breakout candidate, it’s her) S- Emery Herman (Ava Torterello played quite a bit this season, but I wouldn’t be just shocked to see a completely open competition with the new S/Opp coming in, she’s good) MB- Alayna Johnson, Nicole Briggs (possibly a Fellows 5th, would also be shocked to not see a transfer come in, interested to see how freshman Lauren Rumel looks as well) DS- Jaleesa Caraccio will most likely continue to be the serving specialist, Joy Galles and/or Madison Ellman may see bigger roles this upcoming year if the bad passing from the end of the year continues into this year I’ll be interested to see if Dilara Gedikoglu sticks around. Former AAC freshman of the year and has been an amazing passer for Arizona but never given the chance to play 6 rotations. Is China Crouch completely gone now? No mention of her.

As did UW for the first week at least so far.

Who will be new on their roster? Anyone leaving besides Ua, Fellows, and Weidt? Hiapo could very easily be argued the best libero in the Pac 12 with the departure of Fleck (and DeLuzio). Her or Bays for sure. Hmmm…Honorable mention All-American Georgia Murphy?

What makes UCLA a second tier team in the conference? No May and Fleck. Huge losses. I am not sure they will fall that much, but those are huge losses. If Luper is back healthy, the UCLA prognosis improves!

The super senior thing makes it difficult, but I would guess Washington and Stanford are the top contenders for next year, with Oregon as the most likely spoiler.

How would Shea Rubright from Minnesota fit in with Washington State University as she has transferred?

I think UofA has the potential to finish top 5 in the Pac. There’s a lot of roster turnover in the rest of the league and if Hodge and Diaz can be more terminal next year they could make some noise. Definitely a tournament team next year.

How would Shea Rubright from Minnesota fit in with Washington State University as she has transferred? I asked the same thing in the Cougs thread. No response yet. She definitely won't take Magda's spot in the middle.

How would Shea Rubright from Minnesota fit in with Washington State University as she has transferred? Greeny's been trying to move Williams to a pin for a while (did it her freshman year, then back to middle when they didn't have any depth, then when things got COVID weird she put her on the right), so I imagine they'll try Williams on the left again.
