She hasn't really been mentioned compared to other players. I was thinking she would most likely have a break out season. We gotta see what that approach looks like haha Lol literally, her highlights on YouTube from the USC game just make me laugh every time

I had to watch after my last post and died all over again. You can see even on her face that she wasn’t sure what some of the things she did was lol My favorite is the awkward standing kill where she had to reach back and my second favorite is when she jumped like 1 inch off the ground and brought the ball back down the line into a well formed double block and somehow snuck it through 😂

And I’m thinking we see this
S: Lang OP: Akana OH1: Wagoner OH2: Cowell M1: Igiede M2: Westerberg L: Ikenaga DS: Edmonds
I think Evans missing a couple practices is why she might not start right away. Tbh I wouldn’t be surprised if Matias and Alexander come in on the double sub or Matias/DeGoede and Alexander gets regular Mop up duty as an OH.
I’m sure Robyn wants to get her freshman some early experience but I don’t know how much

I do hope Degoede starts though. Because we need some height at the pins if we’re going against top teams opening weekend.

IS DeGoede a taller, stronger and more disciplined block than Akana? I’m not sure if that’s the case. Yes she’s physically taller, but we don’t know who is the better actual blocker yet.

S: Lang (Matias) Opp: Alexander (Akana) OH1: Cowell OH2: Wagoner MB1: Igiede MB2: Evans (Westerberg) Lib: Ikenaga DS: Edmonds
Subs: Byrd(S), Ham(DS/OH), De Goede(Opp), Kiraly(MB)
Considering what Koavball said about the Freshman doing well, I can't help but to think they may make an immediate impact, and I also think Matias has the edge over Lang, defensively. Maybe we do see a 6-2? Maybe not. Alexander at Oppo is a position she's used to playing at a high level on the junior's scene, so hopefully that translates over to the collegiate level. I'm going to make a bold claim and say she starts at Oppo. That second MB position, depending on how good Evans is after surgery, she may just step right in and claim it. If Westerberg has improved in strides, it can be hers as well. Excited for this season to start!

I believe that in the post-match interview for our win against USC, Robyn was asked what kept DeGoede from starting in the matches before, and Robyn mentioned that DeGoede was behind in blocking. Hopefully, she's improved since then

I was going to say the same but I think Robyn might want to see the girls who have been working in the program first before getting newcomers in, unless Caylen has been shining offensively, which might give her more of a look

I think all starting lineup predictions are valid.
An uninformed guess is:
S: Lang OH: Wagoner, Akana MB: Igiede, Westerberg Opp: Annika L: Ikenaga DS: Matias
