I remember someone mentioned about buying a streaming device from costco then download oc16 or something to watch Hawaii volleyball without having to pay for tv from spectrum. Can someone confirm this? I’m ready to cancel my TV subscription!

This is for all those that were unable to attend this great event.. I tried my best with what I had. Thanks! That was fun to watch. We need Alexander to keep doing what she's doing and Wagnor to stay consistent. Next year could be a crazy year for sure.

It's nice to see Kennedi in action and looking pretty good - some epic 1:1s with Amber. Caylen's athleticism really shines through in the loose scrimmage environment, while it's apparent that Riley wants to remind people that she can also bring it with a good set. When Caylen becomes the steady 6 rotation OH1 that is her destiny, the Wahine offense will be really fun to watch.

Watching it right now as well, Westerberg isn’t there but it was good to see Evans get plenty of reps, I don’t think it will be long before we see her in the middle and a chance to see what Tiff is capable of this season on the right side. I also truly believe the team is better when Caylen is playing 6 rotations and only gets subbed when her passing starts to struggle

Caylen hitting the pipe will take lots of pressure off Riley.

Prediction on UH conference record? Well they’ll for sure be 6-5 by the time they face LBSU the first time. Unless Davis upsets. Don’t like to look ahead but that’s the matchup that’s circled on the schedule but it’s hard to say how good The Beach is going to be.

Cal Poly vs. LBSU this Friday will probably give us a good idea of how at least two of the top teams in the conference stack up against each other. UCI vs. UCSB on Saturday should be interesting as well. I'm keeping my eye on CSU Fullerton as well.

Both teams have a decently battle tested schedule thus far. However LBSU’s has been a lot more positive of an overall story than Hawaii and it remains to be seen whether Hawaii has ironed out its main issue, that lagging 2/3 of their pin production. Every team is going to have passing issues, every team is going to miss servers, but the main thing that is going to determine if Hawaii will have a successful conference season, is if that OH2 and OPP spot are going to be able to be productive enough kill AND percentage wise, to be able to be hold things down when we can’t rely on our strength, which is setting middle.

Caylen hitting the pipe will take lots of pressure off Riley. The problem with that is that the first USC match showed Ham needs to be passing, and it seems Edmonds is ahead of her in the DS rotation. Wagoner is going to be 6 rotations, so that leaves Alexander and the right side as players for whom they will play. Keep working on the passing and pipe attacks in practice, but, with the current lineup, I would be more focused on improving the passing than worrying about more offensive options.

Where did you get the impression that Edmonds is ahead of Ham? That’s not what I’ve gathered from the past few games…

Why not? If she's good at digging and passing the ball. She’s a junior and hasn’t had any in game indoor serve receive reps, and no game serve receive reps since she played beach with BVS. It wouldn’t make any sense and we haven’t seen her hit out of the backrow which is a different swing than a middle quick or a slide. I get the desire to make her 6 rotations to keep her on the court but it’d be 3 rotations of her not playing to her strengths. Amber is ok playing 3 1/2 rotations, the rest of the team just needs to step up.
