Alright so what’s our thoughts after a pretty brutal OOC schedule. Going into the season I figured it would take some time for this team to gel, but a little disappointed with how inconsistent this team has been this year. Really needed to win one of those big home matches, but just couldn’t get it done.
Hopefully SEC play goes better which I’m sure it will, but Skinner really needs to get Grome going and somehow fix the passing if this team wants to make any noise at the end of the season.

Yes, KY needed at least one of those big wins. It was a tough OOC schedule but several teams scheduled tough with good results. They may pull it together but not sure if this is their year. They don’t seem to have the passing or the depth all around, and Grome has to do better and maintain.

If we’re being honest I think it was just a rough off-season for coach skinner. Losing Madi (although not his fault) and only adding one quality player from the portal and bringing in a weak recruiting class left some holes in the roster.
With that said, if anyones going to get the most out of this group it’s skinner who has done a tremendous job at UK.

Well at least got the win today but still not overly impressed. Beavin good but overall passing still lacking. Think skinner missed the mark this time on the freshman ds, she’s very slow. Setting still fair but needs to be better. Keep improving and let’s go! Florida lost also so ky still ok.

Why do I have a feeling your basing that decision on this highlight video The decision of POY? I’ve been watching Rutherford play for a long time. She did some impressive things in the videos, yes, but there’s other reasoning there too. With both Skinner and Stumler gone, the offense is much more open to rely on Rutherford. She obviously has great offensive skill, is a good blocker, and now will get to add stats from the service line and backrow defense/offense. Kentucky was picked to win the SEC and I think Rutherford will be the best all around player for Kentucky, therefore I see it as a real possibility she contends for POY Its truly a no doubter at this point. Shall I even predict a future National Player of the Year for Rebo? |

I finally got to watch the Arkansas matches. I wasn't terribly confident going in, but I love how we fought and made the plays when we needed to. Growth!
Obviously Rutherford and Tealer were incredible, but I was really impressed with Whitworth both games, she was fantastic. Anybody know what she passed on the weekend? It had to have been high.

Agreed Whitworth has been a pleasant surprise these last few matches. We’re finally starting to close some tight sets after all the ones we lost to start the year. Hopefully Rollins is back soon and they go on a run in the SEC again.

What is the status on Rollins has anyone heard? I have heard its illness but also heard its a concussion. The concussion would make more sense because you can miss extended period of time for that. Hope to get her back soon.

Didn't they do this last year with Madi? Pretty sure they said she missed the UT game because of an illness and then we found out later she had a concussion. I wonder if that's just university/program protocol.
