Tealer and Rutherford are two of the hardest hitters in the country too like what lol if there’s anything Kentucky DOES have its arms

This team doesn't have a shortage of big arms. Rollins, Rutherford, Tealer (and Bell) can get the job done in that category. Lamb/Melby clearly need a quick in-system set, which requires good passing, our biggest weakness. THAT is what is keeping this team from competing with the top teams (and our inability to put together 2-3 points in a row without an error). Grome has looked much better lately, but her setting OOS has been erratic, to say the least. To give Melby credit, she doesn't get blocked or hit out frequently. She can be successful without being the most terminal (look at Jordan Larson). If her off tempo gets the other team out of system more often, giving UK another scoring opportunity, I'd be happy. I'm not sure what's happening with Lamb. DeLeye coming next year is huge for the Cats. Whitworth has also been really really good lately -- should give us some hope for our passing woes! I think this sums it up about perfectly for this year’s team. Grome is starting to pick it up lately which is a good sign, but surprised how poor lamb and Walker have been in the matches I’ve seen. They just seem too slow and unathletic against good teams. Really excited about next year’s class and how strong and balanced it is from top to bottom. Deleye and bultema could see the floor right away. |

I know as much about UK volleyball and ncaa volleyball as I have time to watch. I was at the UofL game as well. I have also spent years with multiple daughters playing Club so some of these girls I knew who they were before they stepped on campus. If you can't tell the difference between the ball coming off the hand of a Stumbler vs Rutherford then okay, you will never understand it. I already said the passing has to get better and of course Grome is going to struggle with OOS as do all Setters. But that is where you need a strong Libero to be able to help in those situations. This season Kentucky can't go head to head with the big dogs because they don't have a Chaussee that can hammer the ball from anywhere on the court. That is just a fact.

Mostly in SEC Play, she didn't do that in some of the big non conference matches. SEC Volleyball outside of Kentucky and Florida isn't really a true measure. |

The MB position at UK will be interesting in the coming years. Below is how many years of eligibility each MB has after this year.. (** indicates their COVID year).
-Tealer: **1 year
-Bell: **2 years
-Goetzinger: **2 years
-Williams: 3 years
UK also brings in 2 Freshmen MB next year. Hearing great things about Bultema but man will it be a logjam in the MB position if Tealer returns for her COVID year.

Not a chance and probably something we will never agree on. I would love to see stats on ball speed. I know what I have witnessed with my own eyes. Stumler's court vision was incredible and this is another area I think Rutherford has to improve. I just look at this way, when UK needs to get a ball to the floor there isn't anybody on this team who I think is a "Go To". |

Not only is she tall and athletic, but she is really strong. I remember seeing her at 15Us and three years later she has really added a lot of power. I think she cracks the starting lineup because she is really quick off the floor. Another thing folks are going to like about her is her winning attitude. She always has a smile on her face. |

UofL didn't play that well and got their act together towards the end of the third set. It was also about 100 degrees in Memorial Coliseum that night which is a whole other issue. This program deserves better than that. Going 5 sets means nothing if you lose. That like saying the football team went overtime with whoever but still loss. There are no such things as good losses. |
