Good for them and good for her. She's been close to the situation and if she can keep Dennis on, they can keep the train on the tracks and continue to move forward.

At least the suspense is over. How long is her contract for?
I wonder how much time they give her to be successful, and what does that even mean for PSU VB going forward?

At least the suspense is over. How long is her contract for? I wonder how much time they give her to be successful, and what does that even mean for PSU VB going forward? Honestly, even given PSU's incredible championship history, I think "successful" to the degree that she won't be fired/contract not renewed is something less. Basically top one-third of the B1G most years, sometimes contending for conference championships, occasionally beating the top teams, usually being ranked (sometimes in the Top 10, but not always), and making decent runs most years - more often than not at least to regional semis (Sweet 16) and then intermittently deeper. Allowances for one-off negative deviations in every category (e.g., not being ranked, not finishing upper third B1G, not making the tourney or having a good tourney run (like Minn in 2014 in an otherwise very successful decade)). So basically, Purdue.
I'm just talking about the baseline of success to keep her there. Obviously PSU fans want more, and she could very well do more.

It's comical the level of outrage people have when the information from an unofficial source appears to be wrong. This isn't Watergate, people. The reason why Pitt put out that presser was because they knew how close this was to be reality and this was the way of ending that discussion. We were getting our information in real time all along. You'd be mad if nobody gave hints either. Sheesh. Love the term "comical outrage".

Penn State volleyball has always been good. Glad Penn State settled on a coach going forward. The Nittany Lions should do well in the Big 10 this fall.

First tier minimum performance gauge: see if the team continues making the tournament.
Second tier performance gauge: see how well she recruits over the next 2-3 years.
My guess is that she'll get a maximum of 5 years to prove herself before the AD considers replacing her.
Should be an interesting ride, to say the least. I really hope she succeeds.
