Not overlooking next weekend's opponents. Especially Michigan. There is typically one home game where I think they try to filter in a big crowd from a home football game, and the Michigan game might be the best/only chance for that. The only other opportunity is when both Ohio State teams visit Oct. 29th, and I'm certain that will be a night White Out game for football, so that one won't work. So there might be a big crowd against Michigan. Wisconsin will be the first raucous road environment, so will be a tough one doubly so. The only true road game this team had was @ LSU. Penn State/Ohio State football will be a noon game this year.

I think that the transfer portal really helped PSU this year, I think that the true question is in the future - can they recruit at a high level and keep kay talent. next year could be tough if Hurta and Alexa aren't the real deal as they will lose a lot of pin hitting. The name of the game has changed. Recruit and develop a couple but Always...Always look and be prepared to grab a player or 2 off the Portal wire. The glory days of monster recruiting classes of 4-8 freshmen and trying to develop them are toast. If you have 4 scholarships look for 2 Freshmen and look for two proven and seasoned transfers.

Penn State’s winning weekend has them looking (much) better in the eyes of many. No reason they cannot continue this level of play. Good team players who have incorporated the new athletes well. Good new, young coaching staff. I want to see them continue to climb the RPI! PSU remaining highly competitive is good for the B1G!! Nice job so far. Let’s see how they progress or regress. I stan for Penn State progress! This “Foot on the Gas 24/7” article speaks well of their drive, attitude, and desire to continue preseason results. www.collegian.psu.edu/sports/women_volleyball/foot-on-the-gas-24-7-penn-state-women-s-volleyball-closes-out-nonconference-slate/article_5b79d69a-36f3-11ed-88ba-bf79dd9391a0.htmlLike their opponents, PSU players will improve as the conference season progresses. No, this is not December. This is a terrific preseason and team effort and attitude they’re showing us. They are to be congratulated on some early ranked wins.

Blame the college football viewing public for making FOX's Big Noon a smashing success. They get excellent ratings, so it has emboldened them to put legitimately big games at noon. I'm glad we flipped FOX the middle finger by making Minnesota the whiteout instead of Ohio State. But, anyway, it does enable a larger crowd for the v-ball match since the football game will be long over. Hopefully we beat OSU in football, people stick around, and then we beat OSU in v-ball.

I'm a sucker for Hawaiian shirts and bucket hats. Wish I could be there.
