He mentioned it on his podcast/YouTube. Said the contract was sent over the day of recording but hadn’t been signed yet. Assuming the announcement will come when that’s returned. |

Tomorrow LBSU will be playing an alumni team at 12 noon. This is a great opportunity for the community to come out and see the team under Tyler and to catch an early glimpse of a couple of their mid season transfers. I know I am excited to see them play tomorrow.

I was at the Alumnae match and I was expecting better. It might take a several years to turn this program around.
Meyer and Chavira looked good, both setting and hitting. If they can't find a true rightside they may run a 6-2 this year.
Williams looked athletic but raw. She has room to grow.
I thought Andie Stone had a really good day.

Over half the players present were walk ons but Tyler gave everyone equal time. Only one of the transfers were there and played and one of last years pin starters is on the Beach team right now. This was just a fun event that gave the team an opportunity to see someone else behind the net.
IMO 2/3 of next years starters and rotation players were not in the gym or sitting the match out for various reasons. This spring’s matches will not be any indication of how good next year’s team will be. Double days will be the first time the majority of the starters will be in the same building.
This Friday the team plays LMU in the Mid.

USD was heads and tails above the other teams. I believe USD had most of their starters plus their transfer setter there. Every aspect of their game was clicking.
Concerning LBSU, the team swept SDSU and split with UCSD and Cal Baptist. The coach played everyone and was changing player combinations the whole day. It was not a clean day of volleyball but I expect the coaches were able to see what was working and not working in practice. Plus, playing other teams must be fun for the players and revealing for the coaching staff.
