This team is clicking on all cylinders, 9th sweep in a row beating Gonzaga 25-12, 25-11 and 25-14. The same Gonzaga team that beat Pepperdine last week.
Lukes and Bossom continue to excel
Lukes - 17 kills, hit.667, 3 aces, 7 digs
Blossom - 40 assists

This team keeps rolling, 10 straight sweeps, have won the last 31 sets.
Team has 3 top 5 players at their position in the country - setter (Blossom), outside (Lukes) and Opposite (Frohling)
If they finish business and finish 18-0 in the WCC it would be huge injustice for them to not host a regional

No matter if they finish out undefeated, they have already tipped us all off that they are not going to give it to a non-power 5 school.

I am a huge Wisconsin fan. I do a poll. I think USD belongs in front of Wisconsin at this point, although I love Wisconsin's last week and a half!

Last week against Pacific Lukes had 3 kills at at -.125. Grace Frohling - 3 kills at .000. So the ball went to Breana Edwards. 13/.632. Last night they keyed on Lukes. She had three blockers up every single time for the first two sets, which freed up Grace, and she went off. Most impressive was Layla Blackwell with a season high 14 kills off of some of the poorest passing they've had all season. LMU served well, which allowed them to set up a block that kept them in control for most of the match, until USD, like a champ, scraped together a win the way they've been doing it all season, as a team.

I think the committee would be thrilled for a west team to host a regional and USD is in the drivers seat to do so.

LMU's coach did a masterful job last night. He keyed on taking Lukes out of the game by serving her every ball and triple blocking her with 6'6 Geisberger. Frohling and Blackwell did a terrific job picking up the slack.
LMU played very well, a quality win on the road. I think it is great that USD was challenged after not being for 6 weeks.

Lukes has been the offensive leader all year and keeping her in turned out to be a good move. She has more range than Edwards and is a much better passer. I don't think you take out your probable All American when the opponent has game planned to stop her
BTW, I don't think Edwards was playing poor, I just think Petrie wanted to get a little better passing in with Pries.
