Looks like a couple of San Diego's incoming recruits were named to the AVCA High School AA teams. Isabel Clark (1st team, 6' OH) Kylie Munday (2nd team, 5'11" S/RS) That’s great news! USD really needs an excellent setter. Hopefully they get back to their winning ways next year and make it to postseason. I wonder if they’ll get a transfer next year as a 2024 MB decomitted |

Thoughts on the transfer portal news? Blackwell, Hoglund, Hester, and Galvin are all leaving. I was not surprised because everyone except Galvin is a senior. This will open up scholarships and can be used for transfers. As far as I know, only three recruits are coming in for the 2024 season. They need a true opposite and an experienced 6-rotation outside hitter. The setter position is up for grabs. |

I was expecting Anni Evans to contribute a little bit more this past year, but it seems like Tercariol had a hold of that position the entire season. I wouldn't mind seeing an experienced transfer come in, but we could see Evans take the reins in her last year. Maybe the freshman Munday comes in and starts right away, but I think it's always hard for a freshman to come in and start at setter from Day 1. With a bunch of seniors leaving, there seems to be maybe 2-3 scholarships available for transfers? I'm curious to see who they pick up. |
