JT & Samedy for Paris 2024! Why is everyone writing off Drews? She did very well in Tokyo. Yeah, it doesn't make a lot of sense to me. What's more likely, that Drews will maintain her level for a couple more years (she's 28 now) or that Samedy will get to that level after just a couple years of international experience? The same thing applies to the speculation about Fleck vs. JWO.

I don't think anyone is writing her off per say... just everyone is a Samedy stan... plus you never know what can happen in three years. experience matters a great deal in international competition. any speculation on Samedy over Drews or Fleck over JWO at this point is premature and ridiculous

wow...the USA revamped nearly their entire roster after the WCh fiasco. putting in 6 new players, basically all rookies in the national team scene, 50% of the Olympic roster in 2 summer seasons. that's pretty wild. it worked.

JT & Samedy for Paris 2024! Why is everyone writing off Drews? She did very well in Tokyo. not writing off more like hoping the player I like more makes the lineup.. we could always take 3 Oppo's.. I agree Drews did do very well, and I was one of the ones picking she make it instead of Lowe. Out with the old, in with the new though🤧

Like, let's see how they do as pros first. Exactly! Let’s see how the new faces do in top pro leagues. I think Samedy in Germany is a good thing to get her feet wet. She hopefully finds her way to Italy or Turkey next year. Plummer is more than holding her own in Italy. Her stats, particularly passing, are impressive. She leads all OH in attack efficiency and is Top 5 in passing numbers.

Plummers passing numbers are slightly misleading when you watch the matches. She doesn’t pass a ton of court and teams have to let up some on aggressive serving if they want to hit the small area she’s covering. Now her attacking has been fantastic and she is developing nicely but she isn’t a top 5 passer in the league lol

if we’re really speculating, I feel like the USA with Justine and Robinson/Courtney as the other OH would be more than capable of pinching Plummer successfully like they do at Imoco. I just wonder if they will, it’s not something they usually do system-wise if i’m thinking about it.

She just can’t really move to the ball well.

She is being targeted “heavily” and has vastly more passing attempts than any other player on Imoco. Her passing is developing nicely regardless of what a small area she is covering. Give credit where credit is due.
