Anyone with info on Leverette? Is she injured? She hasn’t had much court time at all—only player with less time is Forte. Leverette was the #1 recruit from GA; meanwhile the #3 recruit, Markley, just garnered her second FOW in the Big10 and has been a starter for PSU for weeks now.

There's no reason to think so. The first consideration is the current term of his contract, which is unclear. I don't think UCLA is going to be in a position to buy out contracts in the current environment.

I don't think they'd be posting for a Director of Ops if they were planning to bring in a new HC.

That's more of a budgetary decision than one involving the stability of the head coach. In a state agency, if you have a position, it's best to fill as soon as possible.

I think Olson has shown she's very capable offensively and as a blocker while Leverette, who got the start during the pre-conference when Luper was injured, didn't have any good matches. Also, Olson is very versatile, playing OH, middle, and OPP for the Bruins this season. However, I really like what I saw of Leverette as a 6 rotation OH when McCall was out with a family emergency. She can pass, defend, and had one hell of a serve. With McCall graduating, I'd expect a lot more of Leverette next season with Olson possibly being an OPP in a 6-2. Bur who knows which players will stay or go with the way this season has gone 🤷🏾♂️

The position has been open since July.

Parra saw a decent amount of playing time in 2020 and 2021 and looks to be taking her Covid year (listed as a sophomore on the roster), but Eggleston is gone and Texas has made a habit out of finding their new starters on other teams (Caffey, Fleck, Skinner)...
