The fact that UCLA knew for weeks that there was a very strong possibility that Sealy would be let go, and have still not announced a new HC, tells me the top candidate, or perhaps a person who has already verbally accepted the position, is at the final 4, No, not necessarily.

The whole Texas move was not kind to his personal life and being somewhere familiar might be attractive. I don’t see any of these Final 4 coaches leaving, even Petrie. USD has been better than UCLA for a cool minute

He might have to live in his car, tho. 200k in that part of LA doesn’t get you far. I dunno, probably 60% or more of UCLA and USC coaches - all sports - live in the South Bay, my neck of the woods. They all seem to make it work OK. As far as I can tell, at least.
