I have a feeling they might go after another high profile male coach. They should try coach Mcguyre! That would be a bad fit. Agreed, I think you get better energy infused into the program by a solid female hire. Not sure if there are any UCLA women’s alumni that are currently coaching successfully, or even PAC12 program alumni. I think someone experienced with the conference/program would be the ideal. Bruin Bubble and what not. |

I don't know the UCLA AD well, but he came from the B1G, and with UCLA going to the B1G, I imagine that favors someone with B1G experience. Tyler has that, but with only 1 year of HC experience, he will have the same learning curve issues at UCLA as at Long Beach, but he might be able to recruit better talent.

Does Ryan Theis leave Marquette? He would make a fantastic addition, especially since his midwest roots would be kept alive as UCLA joins the B1G. --- It's a win-win for any BigTen coach to consider... You get to move to the west coast, amazing weather, top-notch public university, historic VB tradition, and you get to play in the BIG! Not to mention you get to recruit some of the best talent available in your backyard! Any time Theis is brought up, somebody immediatly strikes it down. I'm not sure what the issue is (besides that they lose to Creighton a fair amount) but I certainly am not in the know. --- As for "west coast, amazing weather", this has been discussed heavily, but I sure would think the constant 3-4 hour flights over the mountains would wear on a person after awhile. And even if you can put up with 5/10 weekends of heavy travel, money won't go as far out there. $275,000 for JFO in Columbus, for example, would need to be $560,821 in LA (based on bestplaces.net COL factors). As busy as college coaches are with season, recruiting, and camp season, it might just be easier to take a vacation to the west coast than have to live there and coach in the Big 10. |

lol, prior to Tyler, Beach never was sniffing anywhere close to 3rd place where they finished with a record above anything in the prior 5 years, let alone a meaningful match as late as November like this year. it's laughable to characterize what happened with the program this year the way you just did. pretty sure he is amped to see what happens with his recruits and the portal. Laugh all you want I don’t give aF He’s done a good job in his first year considering where The Beach has been recently but it’s nothing eye popping. I’ll give him his flowers but he’s not getting a bouquet lol More power to him though, if The Beach and Hawaii can’t be in the PAC then hopefully the Big West continues to become more competitive lol, you responded, therefore you do give...aF, lol if doubling attendance and resurrecting a program that had slid and was headed to slide further into an abyss isn't eye-popping......then..... |

Nope, will never happen. She does not have the P.R. DNA that is needed to be at such a high-level program. There is a lot more outside of the x and o's within a major program that is needed to maintain the level, this sadly, is way above her pay grade and ability. Just shut up lol go suck a f' |
