Russell Aaron OH Defalco Torey OH Muagututia Garrett OH Kessel Cody or I wish Wildman Brett (even for serve/defense) Jendryk II Jeffrey. MB Smith David MB Stahl Mitchell MB Mitchem Tyler MB Matt Anderson OPP Ensing Kyle OPP Russell Kyle OPP Christenson Micah Set Tuaniga Joshua Set Shoji Erik Lib Dagostino Kyle Lib My guess at our 15 .....maybe Averill (I would rather spend time developing Mitchem) No Jaeschke nor Holt available for sure. Btw is so funny how many voted to spend this summer on youth development....and/or didn't think we were going to be on the podium. Tsk tsk So Jaeschke's injury isn't "minor" like the commentators said during Week 2 of VNL. Ohhhh Jaeschke

So one of the OH or Opposite won’t make the cut realistically

that's a fair point...although, if he practiced there a time or two, it might get better. If you put Anderson opposite Russell, and next to Defalco, he could pass every time, and hit right side two of three rotations for TJ...a non-standard rotation, but workable. I think one point for sure is that Aaron is fixed to be an OH. His passing/defense/serving/attack are all very great, and has become more balanced/well-round outside hitter throughout this tournament. Also, I think one match cannot prove anything, otherwise Hanes(who proved himself as reliable as Alan during the Brazil match) will be start-up line; Garret(who probably played the best match of himself in the national team since 2019 when facing France in final, which is really surprising) will be start-up line; TJ(whose passing is, statistically speaking, a little bit shaky than Aaron, but largely because he needs to score a lot of points in every match) will not be start-up outside hitter but opposite.... Anderson's situation is a little bit different. I really hope he is healthy and can spike as hard as previously, as an opposite, at least recent one year or two. If Gabi/kyle Russell/Hanes/Ensing, two of them can be reliable(to the level of Annie& JT of the women side, no one expects them to reach the level of Kurek) by the time of Paris, Anderson can become the 4th OH(after TJ/Aaron/Jaeschke) who serves as the role of Priddy(really miss him! ![:'(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cry.png) ). To summarize, all the current seemingly a little bit messy situation is because the right side offense sometimes exists , sometimes negative. Two outside hitters have carried too much compared with other teams; Smith(no words, just admiration) and Jendryk(improved a lot in his spiking and blocking) also did their best when Christenson gives them chances during some long rallys. Statistically, Ensing looks great in terms of efficiency, but the thing is, he does not look OK as an opposite when facing strong teams like Brazil/Poland/France, Argentina also. (average is less than 10 points per match, and he consistently scores fewer points compared with two OHs in a lot of matches since VNL week 2....)Plus, he does not pass(like Anderson in one rotation which may help the two OHs a little bit). I know his defense is great, but as an opposite, the most important/No. 1 thing is spike, not anything else. I do not know if his physical conditions(no talent in a big arm) restrict him(again I am not professional, so not sure), but Egonu definitely hits harder/faster than him ![:'(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cry.png) When Christenson gives him the ball, it is usually based on very good passing(thanks Shoji/TJ/Aaron ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) ) and Ensing can hit the ball fast before the opponent blocking exists. This is really, really concerning. Anyway, nobody knows what the coach is thinking about the opposites. Hope Anderson stays healthy and integrates well with the team in WCH Anderson would not be the 4th OH in your scenario

Given rest and being good to his body Matt will give us valuable playing time come Paris I think

The same age David Smith is currently. Middles and wings are different though. wings need to dig. Meaning go down on your knees. Priddy was almost 39 in Rio, and he played well. Anderson doest have to be a starter, cuz we have Gabi garcia now. Btw, Anderson played very well last season in Italy. We still need him.

Priddy didn't hardly play in Rio, he did play really well in the bronze medal match. My point was....pointing out Kurek's age, who is 2 years younger than Anderson, doesn't illustrate anything. And, as I asked early, what deal with the devil does David Smith have? He has been incredible---improving in his mid/late 30s.

Damn, you guys forced her to wipe her whole IG. When I saw this thread yesterday I went and looked and everything was up normal. Predicting a quick out for Sander in ATL, going to have a lot on his mind. Not us, thanks. Its Taylor Sander who cheated on her hurt her. You can have a look at Hanna Tapp's ins, like 3rd, July, this one. Taylor left a comment “thats my girl”, and there are onther comment. Apparently, Taylor divorced Rachel and is being with Hanna. Anyway lets just stop here. Yea if he really cheated on her then divorced her he is scum, but ignoring the timing that her IG @_rachelsander was live literally the day you wrote the synopsis then it was gone 8 hours later isn't a coincidence. It clearly got back to her that her personal life was being discussed and wiped it. I would be more interested in knowing if coming home to handle his personal life was a bigger factor to him giving up indoor for beach than his body, because if he realizes that Taylor Crabb is not his ticket to the Olympics and he needs money for alimony, we might see him back indoors sooner than later.

I don't see Holt in any of the media day things and I don't think he's in Anaheim at the moment actually (not 100% though, just a bit of sleuthing)
makes me think he's not in the WCh conversation
