Obviously with the situation in Ukraine going on right now, volleyball is taking a backburner in that region of the world. I can't think of any American players in the involved countries other than Christenson in Kazan. I know there are protests going on in Kazan rn via Samantha Bricio's insta, do y'all think there's any chance of Micah maybe coming home early? idk where to put this discussion so I kinda made a thread for it.

This is a very experienced squad going into 2022. Lots of questions remain after the disappointing Olympics results though, including the repeatedly-mentioned serving issues and players beginning to age out/youth needing to step up in the gym. It'll certainly be interesting to see how Speraw and the squad navigate through a summer loaded with supremely talented teams everywhere we go.

At the end of the game, Christenson does not hide the discomfort: “ Let's say that it is not a moment with a super clear head, especially for our boys, but I would say for the whole world. It is a rather particular situation, but we said to ourselves before the game that we are a family on the pitch, and that we came to play a bit to escape from all the mess there is. We did well, we played the first two sets great and I'm proud of my team “. Strong doubts about the return match, which should be played in Russia on Wednesday 2 March : “ We hope to play at home - smiles the setter - , I also spoke with the Monza players and I told them that I hope to see them. We don't know anything yet, but the CEV will decide. We do what we can, what I can say is that in Kazan they are very good at making me feel safe “. www.volleynews.it/micah-christenson-in-campo-per-scappare-da-tutto-il-casino-video/

What happened to the kid from Princeton who was like a Middle/Oppo? Did he retire or is he still around?
