People were sh*t-posting earlier in the thread how Turkish Eczacibasi players were much better in NT than in the club, and how that means Cansu is better than "Grandma", but ironically it was Eczacibasi players that let Turkey down the most in these final 2 matches. At the risk of horrifically mixing metaphors, "if it walks like a duck...". And I used to LOVE Hande, but it was her unfulfilled potential (and how that is actively hurting her teammates on both club and international level) that soured me on her and even made me start to dislike her in the last year.

Hande had an awful club season, we here were bagging on her pretty hard. Until the last two games she was playing very well for NT, and yes the setting was usually much more to her advantage. But yes, in the end, both in passing and hitting, she came up very small. |

Can't set a ball to the middle if her life depends on it, Eda will be thankful to have a setter who doesn't try to break her backs with those settings. But anyways, we will see if Macris will be as bad as her |

I'm sad we didn't get to see Arina this year at VNL  As a volleyball fan, I was looking forward to some of the younger talents like Kadochkina and Akimova making their debuts, and seeing the vets like Parubets and Voronkova play again. |
