Over/under on the Rosens getting one more year to go 12-0 in preconference then finish 8-12 in league play, barely make it in the NCAAs and lose round 2? Do we think they stick around with health concerns?

Somehow I don’t think this season is the one that put Davis’s job on the line. If it weren’t for a couple of injuries, they may well have ended up in the tournament. No one really had that on their bingo card heading into the year.

Yeah she played 6R because of her passing. However she commanded so many swings and last I checked she was hitting 0.082 in Big Ten play. We had a significantly better offensive option in the freshman Averie Hernandez, though I speculate she isn’t the best at passing. I wished we played her + sophomore DS/L Ellee Stinson more though. This wish why I think Shane Davis is an inferior coach. But he’s safe because the lame AD renewed him last year. Same AD who wrote the weakest letter to NU fans about the FB team’s horrific 1-11 season, including 11 straight losses. Most schools fire the coach for that. Instead it was a letter about how they are reflecting and addressing 🙄 I remember reading on the boards last year that some were surprised by his extension, but they pointed out that the post said "multi-year" not an actualt number. Couldn't that have just been two years to give him a shot at the 2022s/a new AD not wanting to rock the boat right away? Also, even though NW has a large endowment (I've been told), that doesn't mean it's earmarked for athletics (see Stanford). Fitz is signed through 2030 and they're building a $800 million dollar stadium, so that example might be strictly financial, rather than an indication that the AD is unwilling to make a change with any head coach.

No one really had that on their bingo card heading into the year. But 2016-2021 he was not even close to making the postseason. True this year looked to be a breakout (It shouldn’t take 7 seasons to get there, especially when you get Taylor Tashima as your setter upon arrival, and when you have a once in a blue moon TTA for 4 years). But to me the more egregious is the now decimated roster and only 1 commitment for 2024, he’s facing a bottom 2 performance next year (and the next) unless the portal works In his favor. That’s just really poor planning and having no real recruiting strategy.

After going 1-11 with 11 straight losses, it is probably time for Fitz to go. What other P5 program would tolerate that?!

You are clearly not familiar with the Northwestern of the late 70s-early 80s. 1-11 is a celebration and return to the schools rich sporting history!

Thoughts on Hudson over Allick? I feel like they may be placing too much weight on her early/mid-season performance
