Was there another option for Lesiak? I always felt like she was out there for passing and maybe some height? She has just never been a standout on offense, often breaking even with her kills and errors. I wished we played her + sophomore DS/L Ellee Stinson more though. As I've mentioned before, I only saw NW play like 4 times this year, but Stinson was playing all the way through the back row for a pin. How does she play more without taking the libero jersey from Miller?

When does the big ten release players of the year awards? Also when do all americans come out? For some reason I just don’t recall when they were released last year. Last year, the Big 10 put their postseason awards out the Wednesday before the tournament (11/30 this year). All Americans were announced the Wednesday before the National Semifinals (12/14 this year) with AVCA Player of the Year Awards being announced at the Friday Night banquet between the Final Four and the National Championship (12/16 this year). thank you!

How does she play more without taking the libero jersey from Miller? Often times our other DS/L Cronister played, who served similarly well but looked awful defensively

Indiana moved from 12th in conference last year to eighth this year. Tip of the hat to some hard working young women.

Think there'll be a category for most loquacious commentator?

Until I went and read on Twitter that she'd be interviewing "select honorees" (which also means that these players already definitly know that they've won because their availability would have had to be confirmed), I was SO confused why she was on the graphic since the annouoncements are on social media and not BTN.

I suppose the B1G could be real a-holes, and ask that, say, four players who *might* win each award be available, and then just diss the ones who didn’t win.

Was there another option for Lesiak? I always felt like she was out there for passing and maybe some height? She has just never been a standout on offense, often breaking even with her kills and errors. Yeah she played 6R because of her passing. However she commanded so many swings and last I checked she was hitting 0.082 in Big Ten play. We had a significantly better offensive option in the freshman Averie Hernandez, though I speculate she isn’t the best at passing. I wished we played her + sophomore DS/L Ellee Stinson more though. This wish why I think Shane Davis is an inferior coach. Hernandez was a highly touted recruit and played very sparingly, but in those moments looked very solid. Knowing that Lesiak is not returning, he needed to get her more reps in the L2. Instead, she languished on the bench. There is another Junior 6’3 OH (forgetting her name) who has played sparingly her first 2 years and I think had no playing time this season. Meanwhile, Lesiak’s offense went from good in the early part of the season to embarrassing. If she’s a passing anchor throw her in the back row for Hernandez. In fact, I’d even prefer the 5’11 SPRI walk on getting a shot (she served at times for Dodson). Dodson also was inconsistent vs a steady and overall impressive Becker. The freshman MB (Kennedy something)started the first two matches and was high energy, high flying, and in 2 matches had 1.6 bps. Then she never played again. Meanwhile several matches Dodson hit in the .100, .000, and sometimes negative, and was the weaker blocker. There was also the 5th year senior MB (again, blanking on name) who had started at times in COVID ‘21 and regular fall ‘21. Didn’t see the court once this season. TTA and Becker not returning is a huge blow. Also, several of the 10 seniors have eligibility, but all seem to be leaving. While his 2022 class is very impressive (namely because ALL of the recruits are quite good, vs past classes where 1-2 are very good then the others literally don’t play ever in 4 years), their roster is anemic now. His 2023 class is a highly touted libero and an undersized OH from SoCal who originally committed to one of the Ivies. So, he needs probably 3-4 major pick ups in the transfer portal, and NW isn’t the easiest to transfer in to. So, since I’ve been chanting to fire Shane Davis since 2019, this is another proof point despite this year potentiallh being 23-9 vs 18-14 had Alexa Roussea and Sienna Noordemeer (both really great setters) had not had those injuries. Next year could see a slim 11-12 person roster, no depth, and a clear last place finish in the B1G. Stud muffin better figure this out. But he’s safe because the lame AD renewed him last year. Same AD who wrote the weakest letter to NU fans about the FB team’s horrific 1-11 season, including 11 straight losses. Most schools fire the coach for that. Instead it was a letter about how they are reflecting and addressing 🙄

Think there'll be a category for most loquacious commentator? She’s young in her career and I think she’s great for the sport. She’ll get better, cut her some slack.

As I've mentioned before, I only saw NW play like 4 times this year, but Stinson was playing all the way through the back row for a pin. How does she play more without taking the libero jersey from Miller? She is the presumptive L next year. Some matches she had more digs than Miller playing only 3 rotations. Defense should be fine next year. It’s the other bare positional cupboards thanks to 10’moving on and only two coming in for 2023 and one commitment for 2024. 2023: Setter: 6’3 Rousseau Sr., 5’11 Nordemeer, So. — overall great setting talent Pins: 6’1 Randorf So. (starting Opp, only front row, top 20 recruit), 6’2 Hernandez So. (played sparingly, top 75 recruit), 6’3 Chizzo Sr.,(didn’t play once), 5’11 Amaya Jr. (walk-on, has only really served 1 rotation for a MB), 5’11 Wright Fr. (thought walk-in but maybe on scholarship? Undersized for sure) Middles: 6’1 Dodson Sr. ( moments of brilliance, like at Minnesota, then at times a negative hitting MB), 6’1 Hill So. (only played opening weekend but was impressive) Liberos/DS: 5’2 Stinson (will most likely wear the L jersey, and I can see her being top 3 in dps), 5’6 Navarette Fr. (highly decorated, could steal the L jersey) 11 players, only 2 MB, minimal depth at OH (plus way undersized) and the back row. Whoever runs recruiting should be replaced immediately.

Over/under on the Rosens getting one more year to go 12-0 in preconference then finish 8-12 in league play, barely make it in the NCAAs and lose round 2?
