A lot of wishful thinking from all the other schools voting for Haworth whilst looking at their own setters. She would be an upgrade for at least half the P5 schools currently in the tournament. Haworth had a better November than any other setter in the Big Ten. Her growth has been astonishing and she'd start for any B1G program outside of Ohio State right now

Booth has a ridiculous statline it kills me because an interview in the spring (i think) with Wurcherer showed Booth in the background and she hit a ball into the tape. one minnesota fan commented on that and said she wasn't ready and that minnesota should redshirt her LMAO It's the Lutheran in them. They can't help themselves.

why is no one complaining that haworth didn't get SOY? Podraza had a much better start to the year and Haworth's S/A is almost 2 lower. Her 3 game run vs Northwestern, Ohio State, and Illinois was the best stretch that any setter had this season though

I haven't watched a Big 10 press conference all year, but I'm off from work this week so trying to consume as much volleyball info/media as I can. Just watched this:
At 4:37, Cook said, "And Lexi's the best libero in the conference," with a supportive head nod from Kubik. Clearly he didn't agree with the awards enough to vocalize it. Please don't use this as a post to stir the JC hate, just thought it was interesting.
I've neve seen a ballot but I think the place you vote for all-conference is different than where you write in your POY awards. Continuing to wonder about Rodriguez being unamimous and Murr got the nob. Maybe some coaches wrote down MBs for their DPOY pick and that's what skewed things? Wish they published votes the way they do for the rankings every week.

Well, you nailed it here. Hames should have been the B1G's COY in 2022. Look what happens when she's not playing for RED. Say this for me, "She's like a coach on the floor", then repeat. Hames over Horse Coach? If Bud doesn’t make the 30 under 30 list it is an Outrage!

Lexi is the best libero in the conference but not the best defender.

Think there'll be a category for most loquacious commentator? She’s young in her career and I think she’s great for the sport. She’ll get better, cut her some slack. Oh, I agree. I'm a fan, especially liking her analysis and enthusiasm. I've said as much multiple times on VT, sometimes in response to some pretty harsh criticism. I was poking fun here, and if it wasn't obvious (or went too far), I apologize.

why is no one complaining that haworth didn't get SOY? Because we all know Setter of the Year doesn’t mean Best Setter, unfortunately. Plus it’s not as egregious as when Gabriel stole Big 12 SOTY over McLaughlin (I know I know we hate her now but still). (I was a SKT>Jhenna supporter last year but no comment on the Big 12 award lol)

Not sure if this has been discussed elsewhere on here, but does anyone else find it annoying that 4 of the remaining 5 Big Ten teams have to play each other in the Sweet 16? Seems unnecessarily unbalanced to me, especially in a year when the conference didn't get as many at large bids as usual.
