Let's compare middles here:
| Kills/Set | Hit % | Blocks/Set | Aces/Set | Digs/Set | Player A | 1.95 | .322 | 1.03 | 0.11 | 0.51 | Player B | 2.23 | .320 | 1.37 | 0.27 | 0.67 | Player C | 2.05 | .339 | 0.83 | 0.20 | 0.78 | Player D | 1.74 | .324 | 1.54 | 0.00 | 0.14 | Player E | 2.26 | .438 | 1.14 | 0.03 | 0.45 | Player F | 2.00 | .379 | 1.41 | 0.00 | 0.16 | Player G | 1.50 | .274 | 1.59 | 0.00 | 0.14 |
Player A - Bekka Allick, Nebraska (2nd Team) Player B - Allie Holland, Penn State (1st Team) Player C - Rylee Rader, Ohio State (2nd Team) Player D - Anastasia Russ, Maryland (2nd Team) Player E - Jess Robinson, Michigan (N/A) Player F - Carter Booth, Minnesota (1st Team) Player G - Rainelle Jones, Maryland (2nd Team)
SMH... Robinson leads all of these in kps & hit %
Even Hord is only at 1.39 kps, hitting .287 Colvin is only hitting .287 aren't these season, not conference, stats? If so, they're not the relevant ones.

Everyone and their mother was talking about how Wisconsin was getting a pro level libero, how she’ll be amazing etc, change Wisconsin etc We all saw her in the U21 Euro Champ matches with Turkey this summer, and no one was particularly surprised that she had trouble passing to begin. She has gotten better as the season progressed. GG in 2022 vs Barnes in 2021; B1G matches: GG: 243 digs, 4.05 per set; 383 serve-receive chances, .947, 90 assists Barnes: 335 digs, 4.53 per set; 303 serve-receive chances, .950, 50 assists Barnes was a 5th year All-American. GG is a frosh who didn't make the B1G all-frosh team. This is one Badger fan who is VERY happy with how well GG has done so far this season.

| Kills/Set | Hit % | Blocks/Set | Aces/Set | Digs/Set | Player A | 2.16 | .401 | 1.52 | 0.00 | 0.18 | Player B | 2.03 | .388 | 1.19 | 0.08 | 0.35 | Player C | 1.36 | .256 | 1.43 | 0.00 | 0.13 | Player D | 1.99 | .332 | 0.84 | 0.18 | 0.84 | Player E | 1.84 | .299 | 1.64 | 0.00 | 0.13 | Player F | 2.25 | .307 | 1.30 | 0.31 | 0.70 | Player G | 2.02 | .323 | 1.00 | 0.15 | 0.48 |

Looking at these numbers, I can definitely see the case for Holland & Booth.
Hord hitting .280 in conference & Colvin hitting only .265

Just going to throw it out there that I will be very surprised if a Big 10 player wins a National OTY award. Only caveat I'll offer is if Landfair somehow pushes the Gophs past Texas (Eggleston) and Stanford (Kipp) doesn't make the Final Four. Why should they? The best B1G teams this year are built on balance and depth. Individual awards and team success are two different things. Had Sheffield lost out on COY to Schumacher-Cawley (which would be justifiable), the clearly best-performing team in the conference wouldn't have had an OTY. The probably second-best performing team didn't have an OTY.

Everyone and their mother was talking about how Wisconsin was getting a pro level libero, how she’ll be amazing etc, change Wisconsin etc she was/is a pro level libero. She wasn’t a great passer in turkey tho. I expected her to be a better ncaa passer but nah. But her second touch and defense are easily top 2-3 in the ncaa Disagree with her overall defense, her positioning and range on digs are, I'd say, average for NCAA B1G teams (so Rodriguez, Murr, Schemerhorn, McGraw, and whoever PSU's libero is - still very respectable). But her bump setting and also her ability to put first contact free balls on a platter for her setter are as good as there is in the NCAA. Mind you, she rocked it the last weekend, which shows that ... well, she was an actual freshman, with a lot to learn and a lot of improvement to make. I really look forward to her being a Badger for the next 3 years.

Just interesting that a year after the conference swept the awards (2021 POY Rettke & FOY Rodriguez), that nobody is even in the conversation this year.

2023 predictions: POY: Roddy SOY: Roddy DPOY: Roddy FOY: Choboy COY: Hames Nebraska fans: “Roddy was robbed!!” Well, you nailed it here. Hames should have been the B1G's COY in 2022. Look what happens when she's not playing for RED. Say this for me, "She's like a coach on the floor", then repeat.

Booth has a ridiculous statline it kills me because an interview in the spring (i think) with Wurcherer showed Booth in the background and she hit a ball into the tape. one minnesota fan commented on that and said she wasn't ready and that minnesota should redshirt her LMAO
