Agreed. He is gonna need the reps especially if he is expected to lead a heavy senior laden team in 2024. I wonder how many of the 2024 class will be around. A chunk will be 5th year players (Sheward, Todd, Hogland, etc.) and may want to move on and possibly graduate in 2023 along with Thelle. Also, who knows if players like Chakas, Mouclias or Voss may want to forego an official senior season in order to train with their respective National Teams for the Olympics. All of this is just a thought of course. For 2023 season, Thelle, Hogland, Humler, Todd & Sheward will be 5th year players. They all were Freshmen for the 2019 season. Hogland, Todd & Sheward red-shirted 2019. All 5 of that 2019 Fresman class got an extra year due to Covid in 2020. Thelle, Humler & Hogland are graduating this weekend. (I went to Friday's graduation to see Thelle participate. Cum Laude or Magna Cum Laude) Not sure if Todd & Sheward are graduating, but academically, they're seniors. In 2024 they would be 6th year players.

in terms of someone who hawaii is gonna offer for their 2023 class, one name to keep an eye on is Zach Yewchuck. 6'7 OH/OPP for damien. Played for damien HS and was first team ILH D2. plays for outrigger and is on one of the teams Charlie coaches. I wouldnt be surprised if he gets offered to play for UH

Reflecting on this season, Wade needs to play the RPI game well next year. They can’t weigh their entire postseason hopes on the AQ, as no HCA next year in the conference tourney. Having said that, expecting an east coast/midwestern road trip next season. @lewis and loyola ala 2020???

UH finished #1 in RPI for the season. Pretty impressive considering a lot of people getting on Wade’s case for scheduling some young and new teams to “grow the game” that I assume dragged their RPI down. Tried to look for their RPI before they beat LB for the AQ, but I couldn’t find it. I wonder if they were ahead of Penn St, USC, and UCLA at that moment and if the NCAA would have weighed heavily on the RPI rankings or just made another excuse as they do a lot for one team over another, had they not won the AQ? I believe the final RPI ranking for those other teams were 3rd, 5th, and 6th.

After the BWCT, they were #4, if my memory serves me right.

So as I understand Thelle, Humler, Hogland, and Todd graduated this week. Thelle and Hummer already expressed their return next year while the others haven’t. Do Hogland and Todd return or do they move on?

In many projections, they were out if they didn't win the BWT. Yes. I guess they would have been out then if they went by RPI, like how the NCAA stresses most of the time. That would have been a shame. Hopefully the tournament can go to 8 or 10 teams sometime soon.

Once both UCLA and Penn St. Lost in their conference tournament, it was apparent Hawaii needed to win their conference tournament to get in.
