Lol. Cole has to run 60 feet instead of 90. He should win that race every time. Like sure, he loses the race after he stopped at the middle of the first base line. But anyway, if Betts wins the race with Cole hustling all the way, then you live with it. Some infield singles are bad luck. But he didn't even try.

Edit: Betts didn't even sprint the whole way. He only turned on the jets once he realized Cole was just pointing at the bag instead of doing his job.

The only good thing I will say about the 2020 season is that if MLB insisted on awarding a trophy for 60 games, good that the dodgers got it as opposed to another team.

But 2024 is real no doubt about it. This one is worth enjoying and celebrating.

Plus to win it at the expense of their greatest tormentors historically makes it extra sweet. 4-8 sure beats 3-9.
