I think for Semis on paper it should be France and USA.
But France has history of breaking down when the crowd is against them. And Poland's crowd is just hostile. So let's see.

Eh I still see Poland as the favorite over USA. Of course, USA has a good chance to win. Poland is a much bigger test than Brazil. USA had chances in the prelim round match so we’ll see what happens.
Poland’s advantage is in serve and block. If USA can compete in those categories and hold off some of Poland’s pins (Semeniuk and/or Kurek), I can see a win.

Poland is the best serving team of the tournament. If USA can weather that storm, I like their chances

when's the last USA win over Poland? World Cup in 2019 right? think we lost the VNL meeting last year
very interesting, especially with Micah setting instead of Josh
need another big game from TJ and Russell

I wonder does Italy start Zaytsev against France or roll with Romanò? Zaytsev hasn't looked all himself, which is to be expected. At the same time, do they need his experience (with so much h youth at other positions) against such a well-organized French team?

Zaytsev is a shell of himself, lost 10 inches of vertical, and he cannot choose where he hits like Anderson or mikhaylov. I would be shocked if he started, but perhaps Romano messes up and they throw him in there.

New Iranian star, Amin, can’t play abroad because he didn’t complete military service in his homeland.

It will be 108 degrees in Bologna on Saturday! There’s a/c in the arena right? 😪 Yes, Aaron said the arena is quite comfortable to play in. Thankfully. The heat is like a wall when you walk outside.
