Slovenia didn’t have two of their main OHs but they had pretty much everyone else. Mozic wasn’t the outlet they needed him to be, Ropret didn’t better the ball, and Stern was the signature hot mess he was at Piacenza. And their serve/pass game was bad.
Team USA looked fundamentally solid with nice contributions from everyone. Still need to see more on Dagostino… but we knew everyone else would be varying levels of good. Ensing was a nice surprise. Now the question is how will the bench players look?
