So anyone willing to take a stab at the top 10 players in this class? I've got something like 1. Joris Seddik (?) 2. Adrien Roure (UH) 3. Simeon Nikolov (LB) 4. Sean Kelly (UCLA) 5. Kristian Titriyski (UH) 6. Alex Kandev (LB) 7. Wojciech Gajek (LB) 8. Sterling Foley (USC) 9. Finn Kearney (UH) 10. Ofeck Hazan (UH) UCLA being quiet could be something to keep an eye on. Speraw loses Champlin and Knight. Yes they still have Robinson and Rama, but surely UCLA has some other top talent coming in than just Kelly. If that Golzadeh rumor pans out then he automatically makes top 3 in this list.

Hawaii stacked already....if Seddik or Amri decide to come with Andrian....that will be the ultimate cherry on top! I can see Hawaii starting 3 frenchmen (potentially if Seddik signs on) and 1 Bulgarian vs. LBSU and their 3 Bulgarians and 1 polish. Lol you could make that 4 Bulgarians if they have lefty Georgi Binev come in as a serving specialist. lol.

I am certain every school went after him.

Princeton sure thought so Ivy League schools require you to get in on your own merit. Kelly committed to the application process for Princeton, and most likely did not get in, so he went with UCLA. I think the same happened with Theo Snooey. This just isn't true.

If he doesn’t get in, he will play somewhere else

It’s much more preferable that you find the best from all over and being them together. Knipes did that with Huntington Beach Defalco, Tuaniga and Ensign so I guess getting 3 Bulgarians from the same team is nothing new. Hawaii may end up with 3 Frenchmen but Sakanoko is not on the same team or same year as Roure and his friend.

They did have about 7 guys from Huntington High on the team at the same time though. With the internationals, once you open the pipeline, you try to keep it open as long as you keep getting kids interested that you can give the scholarship money to.

Sorry. I was talking specifically about the Sean Kelly part. Fair enough. My fault for assuming. Do you know why he de-committed from Princeton? I don't. My guess would be a realization that Princeton VBall wasn't/isn't going to give him the same opportunities to experience the big matches, tournament appearances, work with the US coach, and also that this UCLA team has starting spots available for competition. UCLA's recruiting is hurt heavily by the insane depth of their team. A good example is Micah Wong-Diallo. A top MB recruit along with Smith (77 sets) and Aruya (79 sets), Wong-Diallo has played a grand total of..... 3 sets, all against Morehouse in a pratically pre-season tournament. (I recognize this example has flaws but I think it's fairly emblematic of what I'm talking about). Wong-Diallo is the 4th MB on the team, so it's not even like he's buried on the depth chart, it's just he's playing behind two All-Americans and McQuiggan who has been playing very well. I believe that Kelly probably was hesitant about UCLA at first for these reasons, and academics are obviously important to him and his family so Princeton was a good fit. (This is also a little bit of a longer rant about why UCLA fans shouldn't be worried that they aren't recruiting as well as Beach or UH, they just don't need to right now because the team is already so filled out with elite players).

Kelly’s impact at OH1 is much greater than the impact a middle blocker can have.. ? Wes Smith was the #1 2023 recruit.

Foley is overrated Is it known that Amir wants to play NCAA ball and is he committed somewhere?
