Someone ran over protesters in Iowa with a truck last night. Did they run over somebody before that video started? Or are we faulting the driver for the protesters running in front of his slowly-moving truck as he tried to leave the area?

In the way of what? They were legally protesting on a public sidewalk. gas them snyway It's amazing how you are so OK with trampling the constitutional rights of Americans. Can you see why people conclude you hate this country and what the constitution stands for?

They were obviously in the way. Get the hell out of the way reporters. In the way of what? They were legally protesting on a public sidewalk. No clue from that video. Officer could've been in the wrong. Reporter could've been in the wrong. But all that video shows is the aftermath.

Cops assaulting reporters. oh puuuhleeeze, yeah she was pushed. jeez, every body has their cameras hoping to get pictures of an 'incident' it happens, get told to get out of the way and when they don't she cries foul. yeah, it was rough, but sheesh not everything is some assault or police brutality. resist a valid disassembly order, and it'll happen

But all that video shows is the aftermath. It shows a cop using his baton against an unarmed person posing NO threat. It shows a cop escalating the situation once again.

If this had been the response at the Capitol on January 6th, things would've gone much differently. . But again that wouldnt have been politically advantageous to Nancy Pelosi. I think we can see why there was no security that day. There was this weird horseshoe effect where Trump didn't want to stand up to his own supporters and Democrats knew that if things got ugly it would do nothing but benefit them. So here we are.

He needs to be fired and charged with assault.

The officer clearly didn't use his baton.

I think the view of the truck driving over top of a protestor is obscured (if it actually happened). I was going to post that we've seen what it looks like when a driver "plows" into people, both in Waukesha and Charlottesville, and this didn't pass the eye test for me.

The officer clearly didn't use his baton. It is the baton that he pushed her with. Fact is he assaulted an unarmed women for expressing her constitutional rights to protest.

Fact is he assaulted an unarmed women for expressing her constitutional rights to protest. He definitely pushed her with his left hand. And regardless, saying a cop is "using a baton" is intentionally implying something more than pushing.

She is not protesting, she is covering the incident of someone else being taken into custody as a reporter. Oh and your "fact" is not a fact so I guess it's actually 0-3. REGARDLESS... if a police officer tells someone to back-up so that their fellow officers can do their job unimpeded, it would behoove a person to do what they say and back-up.
