Have to take this list with a grain of salt in certain aspects because there’s a bunch of inaccuracies in 16 Open. Houston Skyline & Austin Skyline both earned their BIDS at Windy City. Surfside wasnt even at Lone Star, so they certainly didn’t earn their bid there. Houston Juniors earned their BID at Lone Star. They have those teams right, but how they got there is way off base.

Edited my post since the 16s list is unreliable.

Maybe they’re not doing them all at the same time? Maybe 14 and under went out first and they haven’t sent out 15-17s invites yet? I know someone said by Tuesday but I don’t know that it’s set in stone? In the past, different age groups go out at different times. as far as going out by Tuesday...it is a USAV rule, so USAV can not comply by it...

Yeah looks like a sorting error. Most teams listed are shown by the wrong qualifiers.

USAV at its finest....create massive confusion the day after the deadline, don't correct, and be at least three days late..... It is kind of like deciding, at 18s nationals, that royal blue and black aren't contrasting, so we aren't going to allow that libero wear that shirt....even though it has been fine all year, including qualifiers. Let's try to leave a bad impression for all of our 18s...

But unless (a) your club is new, or (b) your club director doesn't pay attention to updates from USAV, your libero should've been provided an extra off-color jersey in case you get an anal retentive ref.

Everyone is anxiously waiting on the at-large bid announcements and I'm sure USAV is just waiting to post all at once. However, teams are finding out and informing their teams. Saw a post that NKYVC 14-1s got an ALO bid that their coach announced at their practice. As a coach, I love that their coach had the opportunity to surprise and celebrate with the team before it was announced elsewhere. Stay patient, as hard as it is, and let these teams make thier memories.

In fairnes, it wasn't the refs on the court, it was the head referees of the tournament.

I worked a game at Lone Star regionals and was shocked at an adjacent court libero ve actual team uni
Likely three different officials had allowed it and it makes my job more difficult to enforce the rules

pretty source shared with me multiple teams at the 16s and 17s level have turned down at-large bids for nationals. sounds like several clubs have already made plans for AAU and are sticking to it

And Mi Elite got the other one.
Edit: I would be curious to know who among 16 open turned down the at larges, given that these were everyone’s first two choices.
