has BYU commented on bower's availability for next week vs. USD? No. The only information I've heard is that the Pepperdine commentator said she warmed up before Thursday's match and seemed a bit puzzled that she didn't play. The way he said it made me wonder if he knew she had been injured or if he just thought she looked good enough to be back in the lineup. |

LMU playing more like they did on Thursday in the 3rd set, up 16-10. BYU TO.
Stream has frozen on me. Oops, that's the USD/Pepp stream, and it's not frozen just match is over.

BYU's passing is so ugly at the end of set three. And their net play. Completely out of sorts. Set point 24-14 for LMU.
BYU actually passing a perfect ball on set point, ...and Llarenas hits it wide. LMU 25-14 smackdown in set three. Pushed BYU around with their serving. It was tough serving, but it wasn't that tough. BYU just collapsed the way they sometimes do. We'll see if LMU rides this to a reverse sweep or if BYU can right the ship.

seemed like the only thing that was working for BYU in that set was Livingston...and bad passing meant lack of middle sets

Pacific won 3-1 over Gonzaga.
Saint Mary's swept Portland -15, -14, -23
San Diego 3-1 over a tough fighting Pepperdine team.

BYU fights back in the 4th and wins it 25-23 to take the match 3-1. Good for them. I didn't think it looked good through the first 10 points of that set. Went with Grimmer on the front row. Not much presence on offensive, but it seemed to worth otherwise. Serve receive held up enough at the end. LMU was a bit flat in those first two sets though.
BYU will go at worst 2-1 in these last three matches. I truly thought they would go 1-2 with a slight chance of 2-1. I don't mind being wrong about this match. Hope they can give San Diego a good match this time in Provo. You never know. Maybe they can swing the upset.

BYU takes it 3-1. LMU's middles are so so so so so so so good. Definitely. Jacquelyn Moore has been a favorite of mine ever since I first saw her play in person last season. |
