Harrer And Stoner Take Final UCU WCC Volleyball Player Of The Week HonorsSAN MATEO, Calif. – After capturing the WCC Championship last weekend, Haylee Stoner of San Diego was tabbed the University Credit Union WCC Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week. Hawley Harrer from Saint Mary's earned her first UCU WCC Offensive Player of the Week honor in the final WCC volleyball weekly awards for the 2022 campaign.
Stoner also earned her second weekly honor for the season. USD wraps up the 2022 regular season having won nine weekly awards, four for offensive and five for defensive. The Gaels earned two Conference weekly accolades in 2022.
UCU WCC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – HAWLEY HARRER, SR., OPP – SAINT MARY'SHarrer had the best week of her career as the Gaels won two of their WCC matches. She recorded a total of 53 kills across three matches, including a career-best 26 kills in a five-set win over Gonzaga on Thursday night. Her 26 kills in five sets is tied for the 10th-most in SMC history (rally scoring era). She also boasted a .404 hitting percentage.

UCU WCC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – HAYLEE STONER, SO., MB – SAN DIEGOStoner tallied a team-high 16 blocks across two wins at Loyola Marymount and Pepperdine. She notched five total blocks (1.00 B/S) in USD's 3-2 win over the Lions, then erupted to tie her career-high with 11 total blocks (three solo, 2.75 B/S) in the Toreros' 3-1 victory over the Waves, which clinched San Diego its 12th West Coast Conference Championship. She added five kills and eight points in USD's 3-1 win at BYU to close out the regular season.
