If he were of almost any other religion, he would have a better case for this than claiming it is because of his Catholic faith. I mean, that was really the whole core of of the Protestant Reformation in the first place. Most of the Protestant religions emphasize a personal connection with God, while the Catholics emphasize the church as being conduits for the interaction with God.
It's just really strange, like he doesn't understand his own religion that he professes is so important to him.

Who cares anymore?? They've certainly moved on in Pullman. You should too. Don't dwell in life. You'll be happier.
Congrats to Coach Dickert! Obviously doing a great job so far.

Well, he still cares, because he's suing me. Kind of. It's my tax dollars that he's suing to get. And that's why I care, too.

I have to assume your tax dollars go to a bunch of things that you'd prefer they not. This seems like a slightly odd one to draw a line in the sand over.

So if any tax dollars go to anything I don't like, then that means I have to not care about giving millions of dollars to a football coach because he was stupid enough to believe anti-vax conspiracy theories? That's ridiculous.
With that kind of slippery slope argument, I guess you must be OK if your tax dollars are all spent on funding abortions, promoting world communism, and providing free booze to homeless encampments, because there is probably something somewhere that your tax money is already being spent on that you don't like.

Not a single cent of Washington tax payer money will go to Rolovich. That will come from WSU, which has multiple sources of revenue beyond tax-dollar subsidies.

I'm not saying that you have to be "OK" with it, I'm just wondering why you've decided to make a big production over this one and take it so personally. Also, I think there is a difference between money the government takes from me and a man suing a college institution, but gopher already pointed that out. It's fairly transparent as to why this is a bee in your bonnet, I'm just saying it may not be as big a bee as you make it out to be.

Anyone who isn't a liar knows that WSU's settlement with Rolovich will be funded by private gifts and other revenue streams that have absolutely nothing to do with Washington taxpayer dollars.

Pretends to force assert, but doesn't actually explain why.
Just the normal dishonest trolling we've come to expect

Unless Rolovich gets paid out of foundation funds, university discretionary funds are public money, regardless of where the revenue originated.
